Hallo!

RedWing, here. I must say, this site is...well, I'm very exited to be here. You've no clue how long I've been looking for something like this. And bingo. Here it is. ;)

A few random things about me:

I'm a girl.

Somewhere between the age of 0 and 1000. I promise.

I like witty and funny quotes. I could probably live off of witty and funny quotes.

I play guitar.

I generally write Fantasy. I've tried to write other things. They've never worked out. >.O Ah well. Though I've been known to write the occasional song or poem.

And finally, I'm doing NaNoWriMo this year, and I'm very exited yet also quite intimidated by the prospect. I did it last year, and hope to do it many other years in the future. It's crazy but awesome, 'nuff said.

Very happy to be here,

RedWing

:D :D

'Ello yourself! Welcome aboard - we're glad to have you! Sounds like you will fit right in with this insane group of people whose brains have been... altered... by constant writing. :D

Several of us are doing NaNo this year, myself included. We have a thread about it going around.

Welcome to Holy Worlds! It sounds like you will fit in quite nicely with the rest of us crazy fantasy writers! :D

I'm not doing Nano, because of a lack of time, but I will be cheering on those of you brave enough to try it! ;)

Hello RedWing! We are pleased to have you here. If you like funny quotes and short stories you will need to check out Luke the Mindwielder's 40 short stories. They are sure to brighten your day. Also we have a thread entitled 'Novel Quotes, Pun Intended' that should give you a taste of our quirkiness.

While my personal life at present will not allow me to join in Nano, I will be alongside Princess in cheering on those in our web family who do participate. I hope you are blessed once again through the experience.

We all have lots in common around here. We are quirky, have a missing screw somewhere (who else talks about the digestive track of a centaur?), and are devoted to glorifying Christ through our writing. I'm sure you will fit in quite well around here. ;)

Enjoy yourself as you look around at our insane musings, and please comment!

Howdy, RedWing! Welcome to our fair forum. I hope you enjoy your stay. :D

Yay! And we add another musician to our list. :D

I'm going NaNo this year, too. It's my first year, but I'm really excited. How did you do on the word goal last year?

And here are the links to some of the threads mentioned by Airianna and Philidelphia:
Luke the Mindwielder's short stories and Novel Quotes
Various NaNo threads: NaNoWriMo 2010 announcement, NaNoWriMo usernames, and NaNoWriMo discussions.

We've got a lot of threads out there and sometimes it's hard to find what you're looking for. ;)

Welcome!
~ Evening

Hello, RedWing! (Philli, did you say my mind has been altered by constant writing? Me? How true. :D) I am not doing NaNo this year, but I will be with the other cheering people. Ah, I've that quote before. It's funny. :D I like quotes too.

How long have you played guitar? I've played for almost 10 months, and love it. I haven't been able to put music to words yet, but I'm trying! What kind of guitar do you play? :)

Anyways, welcome to Holy Worlds!

Thank you for the warm welcome, everyone. ^.^

Philadelphia: Thank you! I lost my sanity a long time ago. It's gone. Forever.

Princess: Time can be such a bother, can't it? ;) NaNoers need all the support and cheering they can get. Or, we. Anyway. Thanks!

Airianna: Thank you for the welcome. :D Lovely user name, by the way. I'll be certain to check out the areas you recommended, from the sound of it, I'll like them very much. :) (Puns? I love puns. Even bad puns. Puns are good.)

Evening: I shall enjoy it very much, thank you. ^.^ Last year for NaNo was pretty intense. A couple of other people I know on another website, which is largely responsible for my stumbling upon this forum in the first place, were doing an amazingly shock-worthy amount of writing in a short amount of time, even for NaNo. I felt dwarfed, upped my goal (speed-wise) and, with another couple of people, ended up cranking 50,000 words in six days. 50,000 rather rubbish words, but the were there. ;) I still haven't finished that particular novel. :P I'm determined to finish this one this year.

Oh, are you a musician? What do you play? :D

Again, thanks for the welcome!

What website is responsible for your stumbling upon HW? I'm curious! :)

I'm a musician too! I play the piano. I've always wanted to try guitar, but, again, that silly little thing called time keeps me from trying it. It can get rather bothersome occasionally... or maybe it's my lack of time-management skills that get in the way. ;) Well... I'll stop rambling now. :D

Leave it to our lovely Evening L. to take the time to get those threads for RedWing. What would we do without you Evening! I was going to go search for those threads but I am sooo glad you did that for me ;) You are so thoughtful.

We have several musicians on here as well RedWing. Our lovely Evening, Jaynin (her name is technically Vanya) and Luke the MindWielder to name a few.

And thank you for the compliment. I created my username and love it as well. It is a name I use in my trilogy.

First off, I am a figment of your imagination.

Someone find the Holy Worlds Fantasy Music thread and throw it at her? I'm being lazy since I'm not, technically, here. Musicians are being sought and are happily pounced upon.

What's your nano username? I shall promptly buddy you. :D

We need lots of encouragement if we are to persist in Neil of Erk's challenging challenges.

What's the difference between a poet and a pig? (If you know, don't tell of course, let them guess. :D) Oh, and it's related. Trust me. I can be random, but that's not.

Welcome, welcome, welcome.

Welcome, Redwing! I tend to provide a more serious nature to this beloved forum, probably for the sanity of everyone else. Thus, while I may seem relatively straightforward, I do smile quite often.

I will be completing NaNo this year. My username is Hannah Marie on those Forums if you wish to view my novel information or really find anything out about me. If you must know, this is my first novel and I am mainly relying on NaNo as a pathway to accomplish my 100,000 plus word novel whose planning is complete at the moment.

I also am a musician, playing many different instruments, singing and writing my own music as well. And I think that is about all that has been covered in this thread so far. . .

So, in all of that, I just wanted to let you know we are glad to have you with us and pray the Forums will be a blessing to you. :)

Yes ma'am, Jaynin. *throws thread at RedWing* :D

Wow! 50,000 in six days?! You're incredible! (Who cares if it was rubbish? As someone on NaNo said, "Every writer writes a million words of junk. NaNo just gets us there faster.")

I play piano and violin, but piano is my forte. ;)

Oh, goodness, did I forget George?

*A spark of red fire appears in the distance, and then explodes into a fireworks dragon. The dragon swoops through the air, turning, flipping, and twisting, then rockets upward. In a burst of blinding golden light, it explodes and all that remains are millions of tiny sparks hovering in the air and spelling the words:

Welcome, RedWing!*

Hello, and welcome to Holy World's Fantasy. I'll be on here now and then, but generally on Holy World's Sci-Fi.

I am also curious, what website was it?

Princess: Yes, but you see, if there wasn't any time, there wouldn't be any need for time management skills. ;)

The website that is largely responsible for coming by is TLC: http://thelionscall.com/ There are, I believe, at least a couple of members there that are here.

Vanya: Difference between a pig and a poet? I have absolutely no idea. ;P My user name on NaNo is "Avreana."

Lady Esmeralda: Thank you! :D

Melody: Actually...I did not make my avi. A friend of mine on the website aforementioned made it. I don't know if it's supposed to be of anything in particular. I'm quite fond of it as well. ^.^

Arias: Thanks!

Calenmiriel: Hee. ^.^ Well, when I get my sister into joining, I'll make sure she properly introduces herself.

Evening: Heh. Thanks. Great! I /used/ to play piano. Of course, I was about five or six when I stopped...but it still counts, right? I switched to clarinet, I believe, after that, and ultimately set my heart on guitar, 'bout three years ago. My brother plays violin. :D But he mostly does viola and for classical work, and then fiddles the rest of the time.

*stares at George's fireworks* Shiny...sparkly...pretties...MINE!

Varon: Thankee. :) My sister was very happy to hear there was also a Sci-Fi forum. You'll probably see her on there at some point. I'll probably join as well, because she and I will be colaberating on one in the kinda-sorta-not-really-nearish future.

After NaNo. All life comes to a complete dead halt during NaNo.

HELLO! *bounces into the thread*

I'm Willow Wenial, or Willow, or Willie. (as a few people call me ;) )

And I've been told that I act just a bit like Tigger.:D

We're all so happy to have you here, and I hope you have a blast posting with us! :D

Would it be ok with you if I added your Nano username to the list we have here?

LOL! That sounds like me! Except I'm not made out of rubber and springs unless I've had too much sugar. :D

Alright, I'll add you! Thanks!

Oh, and if you still have questions or anything, feel free to ask me or anyone else with a yellow/red name. :)

Hi! Welcome to HW, RedWing!!

I play guitar, too. :D it is an awesome instrument. ^_^ Play the piano, also.

 Niice, the age.

I did NaNo last year (and won, lol) but, sadly, I do not have time to do it this year.. :( I wanted to, though.
Your avatar is VERY cool, RedWing!

Seeya 'round! God bless!

REDWING!

(It feels so strange calling you that...)

Anyway, though I'm late to welcome you, I'm welcoming you now! I'm so glad you joined. ^.^

By the way, Melody Kondrael, Amanda Kondrael, and Philadelphia are friends of mine from Outside. ;)

Look forward to seeing you around here as well.

Strange how we always believe in the ones with a lifetime of anguish in their souls and faces. Perhaps that is why we trusted Stepan--and why we broke him. It's as if the heavier the load they carry, the better they can bear a little more; and not until the burdens crush them do we realize what we have done."

"Only it is their choice," Ishmil said gently. "We may give them overmuch to carry but in the end they must decide what they are willing to lose for love. Burdens fade in the light of a question like that."

Woah, woah, woah! How do you know them from the Outside?????   I know them too! Well, I've never actaully met Philadelphia face to face...yet, but we've been pen pals for a few years. I was neighbors with Melody and Amanda Kondrael for 5 years. Both of us have moved and we're pen pals now.

@Redwing: Pardon me for derailing the thread for a moment. I just had a weird little outburst. *bows*

Did I ever welcome you? For some odd reason I seem to have not been welcoming the newbies recently. :P Anyways, Welcome!
