Hey everyone,
I've been very hesitant to post a thread about my website, because, up until now it had absolutely nothing at all to do with fantasy. Well, I'm happy to report that has changed. I've officially launched the redesign of my website, 13923. And in the 'Projects' section you can find a huge (nay, enormous) section that contains pretty much all the information about Enderion that I've released, whether on here or wherever.

Also, I'm pleased to report that hopefully, in the near future, my blog will start getting a new bunch of posts about my world...because right now it has nothing of the kind.

Anyways, that's what's new with my website (Also, I designed the website myself, coded it by hand, and set it up...so let me know how you like the look of it and everything like that. Thanks so much! :D)

Enjoy!

Man of many, many, names. :D And you now know my real name...so you can wreak untold havoc on my unsuspecting body. :D

Scary right?

I honestly thought the name you use for into the book was your real name, you tricked me! But then I put your e-mail and other site names together and came to the truth. You couldn't fool me for long! *evil laugh*

Post subject:  Re: 139-23

*Snaps fingers* My email address...why didn't I think of that? Actually, for a long time Uriah T. Weston was the only name I ever used at all online...it was my name, really, online. I'd even answer to it sometimes. :D Anyways, I decided that was sort of dumb so I've been trying to change that...hence the website. :D

Well, because you presented Uriah T. Weston as your actual name it took me a moment to realize it was fake. It was a good ruse, while it lasted. :D

Yeah, I had noticed that the name on the comments on my story and your online name didn't line up... :) I wonder how many people know if this is my real name or not...

No, we had talked about names before. Just an educated guess. ;)

Post subject:  Re: 139-23

I've used a variety of names on online forums:

eruheran (only HW)
authorandrew (the vast majority of everything from forums to email addresses to whatever)
authorarthur (my old email address...I don't use this much anymore)
Uriah T. Weston (started because of Into the Book but it's now my online 'name')
Andrew Joyce (my real name)
Daniel T. Hubbard (pen name...I don't use this much)

Does this thread even have an 'on-topic' anymore? Wasn't it originally about my website or something?

Yes, but we here at HW are known for getting off topic (at least that is my perception).

Let me be the first person to post on topic. The website looked fine to me, plain but not boring, which is generally what a website should be.

Post subject:  Re: 139-23

That's a good thing...I want it to look interesting. :D But also, since it's going to be where I sell Blogger templates for money, I wanted it to look a little more professional (hence the plain-ness). Really informal website designs for businesses can be done but they're hard and I didn't want to risk it. :D

Happy to report that I just refreshed the homepage of 139-23 and Enderion now gets a nice big ad on the front :D. I also added a few new things throughout the Enderion section. (Let me know what you think of the new-ish look)

It looks very nice :D
where did you learn HTML? (CSS, javascript, ect.) Did you use online tutorials or peer at other website codes?

I'm looking into PHP right now and plan to look into javascript soon (once I'm done figuring out PHP).
Sadly, I'm not very good at coding my designs though :P I'm working on it, but don't have much free time anymore...

I learned HTML/CSS by following lots and lots of tutorials (www.net.tutsplus.com is a good place to start), and by doing the W3school's online tutorial for each (www.w3schools.com). I'm still learning JavaScript, that's actually what I'm working on now.

Well, then it sounds like you're better at what I'm bad at: web programming. :D Personally, I find web design a lot easier, but I have plans to learn web development...eventually. Do you have any work online?

Your website is very cool! I love the maps page! Did you make them all up yourself? Thunder wasps sound very very scary, you should hear me scream when I see a small wasp. I think I'd make enough noise to scare them off if one came near me hehehe!

Anyhow I really like it, when I have time later I'll read your short stories on there!

Not to derail the thread, but I've got to know Eruheran, which, of the multiple names I know you by (there's like...5, isn't there?) are you going to be published under?

I have my personal/author website with a quick code I made to get it started. (ha! you should have seen how proud I was when I figured out the code to make that image hover for the links like that  ) you can find the link in my profile.

I also had a graphics site I made a while back ago that I never really took anywhere :P It has some of my images and two "cover-up" codes on it though.
Valed Images
I haven't worked on the site for a while, so I'm not sure which links are good or not :P

Cover-up code 1 -- Cover-up code 2
I mostly do cover-up codes for a site I've played on. It's actually where I learn to code.

I was also very happy when I got my "gallery" pages working the way I wanted. (Correct gallery)

I'm "learning" PHP from Tizag. They have a lot of other coding tutorials too. Other than Tizag, I'm mostly self-taught.

@Airianna: A. Andrew Joyce. =D I like my real name. :D (I think it's only four, but...) One of the goals of my redesign is redefining my 'web identity' from Uriah T. Weston to Andrew Joyce in preparing everyone for publishing. =)

@Vilisse: Your sites look great, and wow...Tizag looks pretty awesome, definitely going to have to check that out in the future. =)

I'm working on a new code for it so I can try incorporating what I've learned in PHP.

How hard are blogs (blogspot.com) to code? I've never really looked into them...

Post subject:  Re: 139-23

Not super hard. You just need some good knowledge of HTML/CSS and a good web development addon like Firebug. Or a browser like Chrome or Firefox (Anything with the 'Inspect Element' command, basically)

hehe, I should Google "Blogger templates help" (or some such thing)

@Airianna: Well how do you expect me to keep track? I have to live five different lives; already I'm pretty busy with that, let alone remembering what I go by in each life. =D

@Everyone: Another update to the site, to keep this on topic *glares at Airianna* ;) I've added a section about the Two Fathers, and that's now THE place to go to stay updated on the book, and Enderion, too.

So check it out:

One more update. Languages are much easier to browse now, and a lot easier for me to maintain. Plus the entire site should work better and you should now be able to browse it in small windows without the floats getting messed up. (if you know what that means, then you'd be happy =D)

Also I added new content that's not *gasp* on the forum. =D
