Doh! It seems everyone has cool fantasy names, yet I use my typical forum name. I may have to change that at a later date...

My names Anthony David Rosenthal (yes I'm proud of that name... it just sounds cool) but you may call me that, or Tony, or 6string... or whatever really. I've been a christian for oh.... I guess about 6 years, and I'm an administrator on another forum called The Jesus Joint (no it has nothing to do with drugs.... joint as in slang for place or hangout). I'm a long time fan of fantasy and I'm currently working on my first story called To The Valley Of Dragons. I'm not looking to publish it for money however... I'm simply doing it for fun. Something I've always wanted to do.... and I just want to see if I can pull it off. My favorite all time fantasy characters are, Aragorn from LOTR, Tanis Half Elven and Sturm Brightblade from the Dragonlance Chronicles, Lan from Wheel Of Time.... ok I have alot of favorites so I'll just quit there.

I happened upon the Holy Worlds Facebook page and then Tim directed me here. I'm already a part of a few other forums... two regularly and one of which I'm an admin, and there are a couple for musicians and recording that I visit from time to time. Something tells me I may enjoy this forum however, so I think I'll be trying to visit quite often. I want to say hello, and may God bless you all, and thank you Tim for the support you've given me already concerning "To The Valley Of Dragons."

....and I totally dig the old parchment look of the forums :D Now if only we could type in Old English ;)

You all know I don’t follow the trend, so no old English for me. :D Welcome 6string! We are glad to have you aboard and hope we don’t overwhelm you too much with our enthusiasm. By the way, love your introduction! You gave me a lot of information about yourself outside of fantasy, something we all forget to do a lot of the time. We’d love to hear about your stories if you are willing to share.

I'll have you know I had to go over that post three time to makes sure I'd used thy instead of your and thou instead of you. I'm seriously out of practice with this old english thing. Time to start reading more Shakespeare!!!

(I'm doing the Tempest in a few months, my old english should spice up quite a bit then. :) )

Tony, have you checked out the Holy Worlds Fantasy Music thread? They're are trying to get an album of fantasy music together and it sounds like you like music and recording!

Well Jannin... basically my username goes like this... which I use on my other forums as well... 6stringed (because I play guitar) and signseeker. I'm always looking for signs that could show the time of our Lord's returning is near. I love prophecy.

Airianna... I would love to share my story so far. I haven't had a chance to look through the forums to find the appropriate place to share it though.

Princessoftheking.... that username sure sounds familiar. Did you used to visit the Jesus Joint.net?

A malfunctioning computer (Dell or Mac, which ever you prefer to have blow up) appears, shooting off sparks shaped like penguins. The computer explodes, and the flames shoot up into the air spelling-

:D I like it as well... I use it on the other forums I frequent as well. It doesn't seem to fit with the atmosphere here, however. I posted my story so far.

Smilies rule. :D Smilies are used at least after every sentence. :) Sometimes they break into sentences :D and sometimes there's two after a sentence. :D :D So, if you don't use enough smilies, you will be banished. j/k. :D :D But someone may use this smilie on you **all the characters that shouldn't be here but are run and hide** :evil: :evil:

Also, you should ignore most of what I say, because it's pretty goofy. :D Especially when I'm using a smiley after every sentence. :D Just listen when it seems I'm actually imparting some sort of advice/critique/etc. ;)

Then you guys will work well together 6strings, because Amanda K uses smileys after everything all the time!!! I always know which posts are hers based off of how many smileys are in it. :D She makes the posts pretty. She also uses them in the Chat room all the time. Sometimes she just responds to what you’ve just said with four smiley faces.

Wrong! :D I've never used four. I use three. :D :D And it's not quite all the time either... but 99% of the time. :D :D Which is close enough, I guess. ;)

Thou art welcome, 6strings. And since you love smilies so much... I declare smilie war! :D :D :D (um, and that last part can be considered some of my goofiness... I don't know how to start a war. Though capturing a princess and blaming it on Guilder works pretty well... ;D )

You gave me the evil emoticon (like so :evil: ) and asked me what was wrong with smileys. I promptly declared nothing, I was just making conversation and then you gave me four smiley faces. I actually wish you had more smileys here... theres really not many. :( The admins should go to my main forum and steal a couple of ours to add here... we've got some super cool ones. :D We wouldn't mind I promise. I came upon another forum as well recently, called The Fantasy Forum (it's secular... so be careful if you venture there) that has some nice smileys.... There be dragons there :D :D :D

Awesome. I do think we need more smileys; a laughing smiley, an evil grin, a waving smiley... but I don't think finding new smileys is very high on Sir Emeth's priorities. :( After all, it's rather less important than making sure we can all log in all the time, right?

@Janin: Oh yeah! Jay's a busy guy, so fixing the site's technical problems is much higher on the to do list than get Janin an evil grin smiley to use on all of us.

FYI, whenever I start a forum, one of the first things I do is to deliberately go in and remove the vast majority of all smileys from the system, and if possible substitute static smileys for animated smileys, etc.

I honestly don't like very many smileys. :)
