I used to be able to put my second youngest brother to sleep by tickling the palm of his hand. o.O
I can stop my youngest brother throwing a tantrum by simply looking at him (no one else can make him quit for the life of them o.O ).
I've been babysitting since I was eleven.
I have four brothers and one sister.
While most of my family lives in New Jersey, I live in Virginia.
Plastic bags hate me.

Yes. :dieshappy:

I have a rash that appears when my body temperature changes, or I have an emotional spike, or whenever it wants. It's hard to predict. :P It centers on my joints it seems, but will come close to covering me.

I have to adjust my pinkie finger several (hundred, sometimes) times a day due to a volleyball accident a couple years ago.

I prefer watching History Channel DVDs to watching movies.

13. I have a phobia of popping grease.
14. I hate the smell of most flowers.
15. I am the only one of my six family members without a wheat allergy.
16. My pupils dilate to an unusually large size in low light; mom says she has never seen anyone with such large pupils. She thought it might mean that I have exceptional night vision, but I don't think it's any better than anyone else's.
17. I have a peg lateral inherited from my grandma. It occurs when one or both canines grow in teeny-tiny. Usually, it's on both sides, but in my case it's just the left one. It looks like a fang.

No! Your cake definitely counts as the really-good-gourmet kind. ;)

My hair (medium brown, hints of blonde and/or red in certain light) is getting kind of long (almost half way down my back), but I don't like the layers so I'm planning on cutting it short (shoulder length) to get rid of them.

My eyes (have you noticed my avatar?) are blue with hints of green, and weird but cool whitish streaks.

I'm just a tad under 5'5" (I thought I was 5'5" until I measured myself a little while back :P )

I do my best to welcome new people, whether it be church, work, or HW.

I'm pretty good with a slingshot and not too shabby with a bow and arrows.

I look to most people like I'm 14-16, when really I'm 19.

My left leg is a tiny bit longer than my right; hence it's easier to walk on the left side of the road, for me, than the right, because of the slant.

I got my glasses two years ago.

My legs are exactly the opposite, due to the broken leg I mentioned. If not for the external fixator, it would have been a noticeable difference.

I have the same problem, Katharina. Most people can't believe I'm 21 (including myself!! :P ).

Another few random facts:
I was really obsessed with the Apollo program and the Space Race during my mid-teens. This extended into building cockpits out of cardboard (including elaborate engines complete with old wires and batteries from the garage); making control panels with tons of switches, dials, and guages; and doing moon missions with my brothers and sister. (I was the only one who tried to keep things realistic.)

I can crack my fingers very easily.

I usually shave once a week.

My longest book was over 215,000 words.

HOORAY! NEITHER AM I!

As a side note, I've recently started corresponding with an editor for my first book, and she said that 193k words was too long. For a first-time author, the book shouldn't go past 130 or 140k. People just don't like reading really long books, especially if there are a lot of them and the author isn't well-known. So if you want to publish, that's something to bear in mind. I'm now considering cutting every book in half, making it more manageable at around 100 - 110k. Which would mean I've written 8 books instead of 4. :dieshappy: :dieshappy:

More random facts about me:

~ Today at the store, for some random reason, my family was in the toothpaste aisle. My mom and brother were looking for mouthwash or something. I started taking bottles of mouthwash off the shelf and shaking them up so that they were all bubbly. Then, when someone walked past, I did an exaggerated "I'm-Innocent" act. : P I'm crazy.

~ I have an obsession with animals. I mean, when I was six, I went to San Diego zoo with my family. And we went to this one pen, and I literally freaked out and told my family, "Guys, guys, look! It's an okapi!" And they were all blank, and I was all, "...don't you know what an okapi is?"
I didn't find out until I was older that most adults don't even know what an okapi is. Oh, the insanity.

~ I have an obsession with little kids (that sounded creepy... oops...). Every time I'm with one, I just get the hugest smile on my face. I just think most little kids are adorable, and I actually like spending time with them better than teenagers... they're so innocent and unprejudiced. They won't make fun of me for my weight or height or whatever; they just love people for who they are.

Does he have any toes left after driving barefoot? ;)

A random fact: I can't think of a random fact right now. :P

I bet the smell was awesome. Why do you mow mint, anyway?

Random fact: It's been so dry here that I only mowed 3 or 4 times all year.

Another random fact: Wolf cracks me up. :) ;) :D

XD

It probably was...but maybe I'm used to it and don't appreciate it anymore. =P 'Cause it's taken over our backyard. O.O Well, part of it...

I third Tarin's statement. Wolf is hilarious. XD

Random fact: I talk to myself. Or, rather, everything around me. Including the walls, the sink, and cars in the parking lots at places. And I talk to books. And TVs. And--yeah, you get the idea. Especially TVs, though. The first time I saw Frodo in Shelob's lair, I was yelling at the TV, "BEHIND YOU, FRODO! BEHIIIIIND YOUUUU" and my brother was giving me a look similar to o.O .

Teddy dear... I love you. XD

Another random fact: When characters I am attached to, whether in books or movies, get seriously hurt, I get this weird pang in my stomach. o.O I don't know how else to describe it.

Some more randomness:

Our house is perfectly situated between the Air Force Academy (Colorado Springs) and Buckley Air Force Base, that we regularly get flyovers. We had one this morning that was so loud we thought they'd dropped a bomb or something.

I suffer from EOBD...that would be End Of Book Depression. I get so attached to the characters and the plot that it's hard for me to actually end a series. :(

As has been mentioned above, it sometimes saddens me greatly when a character I like in one of my books dies. :bawl: So inconvenient. D:

Be careful of your thoughts; guard your mind, for your thoughts become words. Be guarded when you speak, for your words turn into action. Watch what you do, for your actions will become habits. Be wary of your habits, for they become your character. Pray over your character; strive to mold it to the image of Christ, because your character will shape your destiny.

Ideas can germinate from the smallest seeds. Collect those seeds, and let them grow in the back of your mind. You may be surprised by what finally blooms.

When God takes something from your grasp, he's not punishing you. Instead, He’s opening your hands to receive something better. The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.

The Diegosian Mark, 115,600 words (Preparing for Publication)

18. I can swim reasonably well (as in I don't flounder but it takes me forever to get anywhere), but I have a fear of deep water. When I listen to this song, (starting mostly at 0:53 - doesn't that sound like deep water? o.O ) all I can think about is the feeling of my ears full of water with nothing but blackness below me. Ugh.
19. I can't recite the books of the Bible, but I can sing them. (Tarin, are you an auditory learner too??)
20. My favorite month is May.
21. I have names for all twelve months in my world, based on Latin words.
22. I can only remember one of them. :P That one is Narex, the equivalent of December.

o.O Yes.

7. I don't like driving. At all. I'm trying to get better.
8. I've never mowed a lawn.
9. I'm originally from South Carolina but I've lived in Michigan since I was seven.
10. I can see a face in Jaynin's avatar , and it's what I always see unless I make myself really look at it. http://www.holyworlds.org/fantasy/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=172&sid=f5cbaa235c3900c8e8d05d229bd76911
11. According to Meyer Briggs' test I'm a ESFJ. :D
12. Names and their meanings fascinate me. I can spend hours on baby names sites if I'm looking for a certain name/meaning/feel for a character.
