I was quite happy with my hair the colour it was! Pink was forced on my by the wicked bats, which Brendan let loose; 'twas not by choice.

I think you're right, Aldara. It would be the same case as with snow. Ice is transparent, but snow (which is just lots and lots of ice crystals) becomes opaque even with very few layers. To avoid this, the hair's refractive index would have to exactly match that of air. Impossible, I say! Impossible!

Nope. No pink. I’m sure I could “rock” any color hair, if I chose to, but I like my current natural color, and Pink would be last on the list, if it even made it onto the list.

I agree. Pink for me is definitely a girly colour. Red is good, but boys wearing pink just doesn't look right, in my opinion. But, like you said, Elanor, everyone has their own preferences.

I think it's probably more cultural influence than personal preference. I mean, it's still personal preference, but I think that all these personal preferences are influenced by culture--what looks girly/manly is frequently culture-dependent.
If we grew up seeing only guys wearing pink, I imagine we'd probably think of it as a masculine color.

I suppose it is like that with anything. If you grow up knowing things that are, to you, "right", when you see someone believing something else that is, what you think, is opposite of what you know, you may think it's wrong.

Well, throwing right and wrong into the mix does make things more complicated. Lots of cultural preferences probably have no moral content, but in some cases--because of cultural context--the same preference might actually be right in one culture and wrong in another (maybe long hair on guys? ). And of course, many things are right or wrong completely regardless of culture.
But yes, what you said makes sense.

Long hair on guys. I would say that that is wrong, but other people mightn't think so. I get your meaning.
Yes, there are main things that are just "right" and other things that are just "wrong" not involving culture.
But still, people have their own opinions of main right and wrongs.
