Seriously, folks. Copyrights on nicknames are fun in moderation (haha), but please, don't go overboard with them. Keep the copyrighting lighthearted and reserved for your most creative nicknames. For instance, if someone copyrighted calling me Eve, that wouldn't be very nice. But if someone copyrights calling me Wren (nods to Airianna), that makes sense since that nickname has backstory to it. I hope I'm not appearing controlling, 'cause that is far from my intention, I'm just cautioning us all to be polite in our copyrights so folks don't begin getting annoyed by the lack of creative commons nicknames.

Looks like we're going to have to run nicknames by a mod before copyrighting.

I dunno. . . if someone makes up a nickname for someone else, few other people are going to want to use it. No one besides Phila goes around calling me Droid (heehee). Or Katty Roy. But Abby took "Katty" without misgivings, so it's not like a "copyrighted" nickname prevents similar ones.

I agree with Evening.

It's best to have one really special nickname that means something to be copyrighted to you. For example, unless you were in chat at one time, Evening ended up with the copyright to call me "Tumbleweed".

It has a funny story behind it for the both of us, which makes it special, therefore the copyright is actually worth something.

I am a girl of many names, although the only ones I have on Holy Worlds are Silvie and the occasional Sil, if you can even count those

But I'll give you all the list...

My family calls me Tis, Tissie, Twizzles, etc. (Many variants of that...too many to list)
My best friend calls me Z-Da, Oompa Loompa, and Sante Noop de Noop (Long stories behind alllll of those)
Sven calls me Carlos and Lizzy.
My softball coach calls me Frenchie -_-

I get called Azlyn, Mae, or Az, usually. Elly of Zoriah calls me Zlyn, which I think is copyrighted only to her.

I call her Zolly, which I am now copyrighting! And then I recently dubbed Captain Nemo as my Chitty Chitty Bang Bang buddy, Bang Bang for short, which means I have now become Chittty Chitty.

I think that's all my nicknames, not counting the one Lady Alina Cabrera made up for me. *Debates with self whether or not to share nickname*

Wow. I don't have any nicknames on here. The only thing that mght be confusing is that I'll call Luke the Mindwielder/Luke Skystalker/Luke Chatstalker Skystalker. That (I believe) is what he called himself when I registered, so it makes the most sense to me. Everyone will probably know who I'm talking about anyhow.

My family call me Bear, SD, Sarah Dot, Sar-bear, and other variants of such. My family has a tendancy to get confused as to who they're talking about, so I've been called by the names of all my aunts and cousins (and my mum). Or all at once, you know, CathyEmilieTanisBethAbiMeganClaireRachelSarahAngieWhichever-one-you-are. My father may have called me Jo, like my auntie Joanne, but that's rare. Mostly I get called by my sisters' names.
And in many places I'm called Sarah R. Because there are way to many Sarahs out there.

It hath occurred to me that my many nicknames can get confusing, even to me...

So let's see if I can name them all.

Bethy... Which is pretty basic. Just about everybody calls me that.

Little sister (or lil' sis) which is also pretty basic... My (HW-adopted) big brothers or a few of my big sisters call me it sometimes.
[Sun]Rae. Which is what Raven of the Wood calls me.
Bethith. Which is what Sir Emethith calls me.
Bethy Bee. Which Lady Aris calls me.
Betty. Which is what Caleb [Elanhil] calls me.
Tilly. Which KathrineROID calls me.
Faith. Which one or two people call me.

And Beth... If you hear anybody call me this, they are probably my real-life big sister, because she's the only person that calls me Beth.
