When you start making siblings without ever having seen their face or heard their voice.

You know you're a HWer when you now think of Patrick Lauser every time you look down a shower drain.

You know you're a HWer when you think of Jonathan every time you see a spider.

When you see funny writerly creative road signs and think, "I should post that on HW!"

...when words like "yesh" and "ish" start trying to come out of your mouth.

...when you're smiling about something that happened on HW the next day and hoping someone doesn't think you're insane.

...you stay up too late and don't mind it at all.

I've done all of those.

Apparently, I have a specific grin I use when I'm smiling about HW happenings, chats with friends, etc. My siblings can spot it with unfailing accuracy.

...a seemingly normal conversation morphs into a discussion of the pros and cons of eating hugs and close friends.....all begun because of a mimic of Grace's eating kleenex and using whatever else she was given to wipe her eyes.

And I think that the whole use of "awesome" was partly my fault. My official farewell in the chatroom was "stay awesome and God bless" from almost the moment I joined HW, and I think after Seer made the "Why You're Awesome" thread and Andrew quoted me on a HW podcast, it sealed it as one of HW's most popular terms.

Oh, yes!! SO guilty, of all of the above! I have gone so far even to have converted my whole family to the usage of "-eth" on the end of everything.

Noelle and I kind of got converted on the 'muchly' one...

You know you're a Holy Worlder when:
You have a mild panic attack when you find out you can't get on HW and think something's wrong with your computer. Then you feel instant sorrow upon finding out the whole of HW is down.

Guilty.

When HW is down and you keep going back to check it, and you remember it's down, and then you go back to your life, and then you go check HW and remember it's down.... repeat... repeat....

...when you spend ten minutes refreshing your internet when you discover HW is down.

...when you actually say "shrug" or "laugh" or anything else in asterisks in real life. I do this, and I've got my mom to do it, too.

...when you have to pause a minute to think whether the "real life" is referring to your internet or non-internet life. Because "real life" implies that people on the internet... aren't real.

...when your mom recognizes the name of several HWers, and my nicknames for them - Hurricane/Vanya, Bushy, Airi, Nemo...

...when sometimes your mom calls you by your HW username.

I do that too!

I was writing to a Customer the other day, and I signed my name Elanor, and only realised last minute. I've done that a few times now!

...when you know (loosely speaking) someone from ENGLAND!!

...When it's weird to hear your real name online.

^I do that. I'm so used to being called Milly, that it's unnatural to be called Calista.

...when random objects make you think of people from the forum.

...when you feel like you're missing something when not here for a day.

...when most of your social networking friends consist of people from the forum.
