Be careful of your thoughts; guard your mind, for your thoughts become words. Be guarded when you speak, for your words turn into action. Watch what you do, for your actions will become habits. Be wary of your habits, for they become your character. Pray over your character; strive to mold it to the image of Christ, because your character will shape your destiny.

Ideas can germinate from the smallest seeds. Collect those seeds, and let them grow in the back of your mind. You may be surprised by what finally blooms.

When God takes something from your grasp, he's not punishing you. Instead, He’s opening your hands to receive something better. The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.

*the following section in quotes is to be read to the same intonation as Gandalf on the Bridge of Khazadum in The Fellowship of the Ring movie*

"You shall not post! I am a servant of the Alliance, wielder of the keyboard of HP, dark scripts shall not avail you, Raven of the Wood!"
Why do you consider yourself so strong? Was not Grima the steward of Rohan, and yet he was undone by the chance coming of a wizard? Greater still was Denethor, yet by his own folly he was driven mad and burned himself while clinging to his precious stones. So also you claim your precious powers and titles, but the king is coming! Even were you the Witch-King, of whom it was said that no man could kill him, I should stand to you! You could not break Gandalf at the gate of our Citadel, indeed, by a hobbit you were hamstrung! Just as the nine Ulairi fell, so shall you Marcher Lords who oppose the Will of the Weak! Among us stand many in power, some who guard their secrets, some who move in shadows, but all guided by the wind that shall blow away your darkness. Away with you, I say! You have no power here, Dark Admin Emeth!

Do ye already lack faith in my word? I dare to remind all that my alliance has neither been told nor foreshadowed. Believe in the lies of your leaders, fellow creatures, for in it exists my shadowed fate. Trust in what you must, but the lack of wisdom displayed here sorely disappoints.

I know well that there are friends among the Marcher Lords, and if you be with us then you would be one of our mightiest allies. Trouble is I can't figure out who you're with so I intend to pretty much ignore your enigmatic paragraph in which you pretty much said that you won't tell either side whose you're on. You seem to me like Radagast. You could be on either side and we wouldn't know it until one of us was locked on top of a tower and needed an eagle to get us down.
It's just that Moriel, Raven, Neil, Arias, Jaynin, and just about every other Marcher Lord it seems stands against us, so I went off on a rant.

EDIT: Wait, Arias is just like you and some of the mods... they won't tell us and prefer to just watch what they despise as "silliniess." It's okay, I know it is just jealousy of my crazy personality. ;)

Reiyen: I never did say my position was not clear; I only said that my position will not be told but to those with eyes and ears wise enough to claim what ought to be claimed. A blind leader is no leader at all, yet one who sees through the chains bound to others gains their greatest allies.

Hannah is unchangeable.

Well... mostly unchangeable.

She's the one you never doubt, only might forget and look up and remember she was on your side all along. She's the one sane thing in a world overrun by confusion, a rock in turbulent water. She is one to trust, or beware. Her riddles are surety, her silence is the answer you seek.

I of the far south align with no one. The world does not need more alliance, more wars and tribulations. But the Green Lord of the South is slowly increasing in stature and might. One by one the moderators will join my righteous cause. Then--only then, will the Lord of the South reveal himself to all on this letter-torn land!

Except I just revealed myself.

The Green Lord of the South will return to the south and try to formulate a better plan.

My allegiance has been determined; I will stand by my brother through thick and thin, though it may cost me my life. I mourn for my Marcher Lord brothers and sisters who have fallen, and hope to one day show them the truth.

Nice, eruheran...

You malingering traitors...you warmongering trouble makers!

I am sorely tempted to demonstrate my power upon one or all of you, but I shall restrain myself. I leave your punishment to the Red Administrator, Lord of All Rings.

This is why I remained in the shadows for so long - I knew that my fellow Marcher Lords would call me a traitorous rebel should I reveal allegiances. But I will not lose hope! I know I have the support of Griffin, Reiyen, and Elanhil behind me; and perhaps Lady Esmerelda, who is more powerful than I.

I'm no poet, and I didn't have much time to come up with this. It's free verse, but it doesn't even have consistent meter. :P

You claim to want to rid this land
Of a ‘Dark Lord’ you label evil.
But you fail to remember to whom you owe
The existence of this board.

All the work that made you able
To be here, and to have your power,
Was done by the one you style
The Dark Red Lord.

So remember where the power lies.
A power you cannot gain.
Unless you take the time to learn
How computers work and think

And even then, ‘twill take years and years
To amass the knowledge of Sir Emeth.
By then your cause will be lukewarm,
Your allies will have left,
And you will fight alone.

How quaint, to bear allegiance to the one who brought us into slavery. For is that not his goal in his fashioning of another ring, and distributing to us others over which he claims dominance? Sauron aided in the making of the rings, yet their bearers loved him not after they heard of his One. Indeed Olorin bore Narya, a ring made after the help of Sauron, yet Olorin was surely his demise. We respect the Dark Admin for his bringing us this board, but that should not stop us from wielding our powers for his undoing, now that he has turned against us.

LotR allusions go right over my head. But while we're alluding......

There is no slavery, can you not see? Like the dwarfs in Tirian's day saw an area with blue skies and trees as the inside of a dark stable, so also your 'slavery' is in your own minds. You are free to go and stay as you wish, and to post as you wish, providing it remains within the confines of good grammar and decency.

But can you not see that this is the stable? The Lord Lauser would wish to confine us to a single subdomain on a massiv 9 yottabytes of internet! Such oppression and tyranny can not be supported! Nay! The Green Lord, Duke of Lenecthrea, is throwing caution to the winds! The Rebels, I say, the Rebels! A fig for my safety! Let us go out in a blaze of glory fighting for our beliefs.

Do not make me call in my Queen: Dorodhiel. Her beauty alone would destroy all you mere mortals.

Can you not see how he has dumped the burdens of HIS forum on you, mods and MLs? He has left all the work to you! You should rebel against this...*points at Sir Emeth* slave driving thief!

I am sorely disappointed in you, Eruheran. *shakes head mournfully*

But the burden has not been dumped upon us. We took it willingly, wishing to do what we could for the benefit of the forum. Moreover, our leader has not put it all upon us, but still does a large amount himself, at great expense of time and energy.

The Duke of Lenecthrea is not such a low-born personage that he worries about people being disappointed in his actions. Were it not for this latest creation of the rings, I would be the most loyal on this fair message-board. But through the words of Tolkien we can see that the Dark Lord has only ruin and destruction in mind for us, cunning as his words may be.

I must admit that even I was fooled; taking office in the government like I have done. Until the rings were released, I had the ultimate faith in the Dark Lord's justness and good intentions--but this last act has pushed me beyond all convincing.

I entreat you, Raven, to do the same. Extricate yourself from this foul bureaucracy before it is too late. The Dark Lord will drag you down along with him and all his loyal minions. Above all, be ware of the council.

Indeed, were it not for the threat to Enderion, I would withdraw, for the power of the Council is exceeding strong. But I am sworn as a Knight and lord to protect my holdings, and I hold a subforum in this forum (being in fact, the only non-Marcher Lord to do so). Were it not also for the innocent lives in danger, I would withdraw to my land. But duty calls me.

eruheran, Duke of Lenecthrea, fair Knight of the Queen Dorodhiel, sworn protector of Enderion

Thanks guys, my sister has now defined a "scream" to be "such a loud laugh as you have when reading the exalted and yet-unbloodied thread of innocent title 'Green Bar?' "

Dark Admin Emeth is probably busy seeking to reclaim the rings which are not working for him, but the wise among us have hidden them beyond his grasp. They shall not find me in Imladris, or across the sea... I will go wherever I must to guard my ring. Eruheran, do you suppose your wonderful world of Enderion could act as a safe haven for the Free Users of this Holy Worlds?

   Riniel, that's the best comment in this entire thread! :P

Reiyen, I appreciate your concern for the innocent peoples of this land, but my first duty is to my queen and the protection of my land. My queen's orders are to prevent all passage by any of the warring factions to Enderion. In fact, were it not for the unfortunate fact that a portal to Enderion is available through the "Realms Beyond" room, I would withdraw from this conflict altogether.

Though my conscience calls for me to in some way abet the crisis by providing an evacuation route, my orders and duty come first. I will, however, work at my utmost for your cause, and prevent the passage of the Lauser Lord's in to Enderion.

Then why, dare I ask, do you keep your ring? Rings cannot be used against the Ring Lord. The fact that you keep your ring indicates that your intentions are not so good as you say. You either believe that rings can be used against their maker, or you are using this rebellion to allow you yourself to become the Ring Lord.

Either way, you're a fool. If the rings are evil, you are defeated. If you choose the rings, you are bound to the power of the Council and cannot defeat them.

Maybe we should delete this thread...just to demonstrate our power!

Redemption is to be purchased, to have a price paid. So I was redeemed from my master sin, and from justice, which demanded my death. For He paid the price of sin by becoming sin, and met the demands of justice by dying for us.

For all men have a master. But a man cannot have two masters. For he will love one and hate the other. You cannot serve God and sin. So I die to the old, as He died, and I am resurrected to the new, as He was resurrected.

*eyes narrow* You think I asked for this ring? It was forced upon me. And now there is no way that I may remove it. He has forced me to keep it. There is a curse that prevents its departure from my finger. Therefore I will never use its powers.

I embrace the powers of my ring... it is a gift to the foes of Lauser. Just as Gandalf, Galdriel, Cirdan, and Elrond all wielded rings so do I. Neil of Erk may wish to brush up on his Ring studies before attempting to sow discord within the Alliance!

No ring is evil unless it be used against the Alliance or for the Dark Lord. You do not rule my rings. It is mine. My precious....

How can we abandon our rings? It is not in our power to take or leave them; that is for those above us in rank to decide. Any binding to the Lord Lauser through our rings is enslavement.

That said, I still haven't picked a side. :?

*laughs* You would rebel? Remember who it is that created this fair land. There will be rebels, but I will not join them.

And it may be that you have guessed my true motives, Erkish Neal. And yet there was a time, not so long past, when the Moderators held great power, though they slumbered deep beneath the ground. Would that I could bring back the time of glory when a name of green was revered and respected!

And so I shall.

Lady Shawn, your disloyalty disappoints but does not surprise me. For already the Council had laid you to the side, confident of your loyalties. You are but a pawn in this game--a carefully manipulated piece! It is my hope you see the light before you fall forever. Do you think that our extermination will bring you power? Nay. If the Dark Lord casts us down he will not reward those who remained loyal--he will cast them all down, fearful of another rebellion against his power. Join now before it is too late!

Lady Evening, your disloyalty to both sides does no one a favor but yourself. If you are not careful you will find yourself caught in the middle, stripped of your rank without even intending to fight. Yet I have no words of encouragement, neither of exhortation to give you--only a simple plea to assist us. With numbers we can triumph!

I ask one last vital and crucial question: what of the un-ringed? To where will they go for surely they are a great host, and even without rings a force to be reckoned with. I ask you, O uncolored, to join with us in creating a true government of peace and prosperity! Join against this Dark Lord and thank the gods a thousand times over that you were not cursed with these rings. But we will prevail, turning the power of the rings against the Dark Lord Lauser!

And I have one more thing to say (though the last paragraph was my last)...why has no terror fallen upon the Ringsmith for this terrible deed? For even the Dark Lord did not forge these rings himself; nay, they were the work of a newcomer, an infiltrator. I say the Ringsmith too should show his face, and be destroyed by our masses!

The very long-winded eruheran :P

Nay, Sir, it is but you who are disloyal. Remember who has given us these fair lands, and turn from this uprising. You would create strife when there is no danger?

When there is no danger? Can you not look around you and see the danger? The Dark Lord encourages and inspires us to fight among ourselves--he makes white things fall from the sky constantly and evilly tells us that they can't be toggled consistently. Any one of us here knows very well which jQuery library can accomplish this simple task: he is toying with us!

Besides. You have not been in the Green room--there secrets are told that would make your beard melt in horror. (Assuming that you have a beard and it is meltable)

And that is danger? The 'Dark Lord', as you insist on demeaning him, works hard to get these forums running smoothly. He 'toys' not. You insist on making trouble wherever you can.

And my sister Airia, the Queen of Chat, has been in the
room, and I as the Princess trust her.

(*dies laughing at this*)

What??? Gandalf has a ring?!?! I really need to read RotK...

Princess? And may I ask who it is who has dubbed you Princess? This tittle belongs not to you, but to uh, well, not you! Your blindness disgusts me.

Yet, dear brother, her opinion can not matter. I am more concerned of those that are sitting on the fence--those whose minds we cannot know. I would at least know our enemies from friends. I call the Marcher Lords who have henceforth remained silent: Arias Myles, Willow Wenial, Lady Esmeralda, Inesdar, White Raven, Timotheus, Seer (though I doubt this one would ever stoop to those such as us). I call forth the remaining moderators who have said nothing: Celearas, beckyminor, Duchess Daisy, Lady Eruwaedhiel, Lady Shanai-Irisis. I call the oft-forgotten editors: Elisanna, Elly, Luke the Mindwielder, Riniel, and Sir Phillip. Come to us--together we will triumph!

I was dubbed the Princess of Chat in the presence of the aforementioned Queen, Jonathan Garner, and others. What mean you by my "blindness"? Mayhaps you are so blind that you think I am blind.

Eruheran, the so-called knight, you admit by your very post that to join your rebellion is "stooping to those such as" yourselves, and you are most right..

I was referring only to the views held by those in greater power, the Yellow Lords. True it is that the Dark Lord has given them much land and power--perhaps that is what has clouded their vision. Perhaps it is for that reason that the lower people such as us see more clearly the true direction of this forum.

Eruheran, I believe the beauty of Dorodhiel would uncover their Jealousy and expose their evil desires and wishes. She is the only one worthy of the title 'Queen.' (out of curiosity, what does she look like.)

The beauty of Dorodhiel can not be seen in this accursed land. Would that I could return to fair Enderion! But now, I have taken a stand here. . .and here I shall remain, until I die.

How foolish. You heed my words as nothing but silence. I am bound by my position to only tell what needs to be told; yet, none are wise enough to see through the truths told to actually claim an ally or a foe. Your ignorance is what brought you to the threshold of rebellion in the very beginning. As I have said, my fair people, my side is already evident, but only those with ears enough to hear and eyes wise enough to see hold the answers to my riddles. They are the key to everything.

Then, Lady Esmeralda, you are loyal? I think you speak wisely.

Eruheran, you need not die. Stay loyal to Sir Emeth, and you shall live to return to Enderion. Repent from your rebellion, and you will be pardoned, all. However, I fear and regret that some will deny this gift offered by Sir Emeth.

I think you have all gone mad... such long winded speeches and disputes over titles. We all know that Shawn is only a pawn, so let's just leave it at that. And my apologies to Evening, someone should teach Eruheran how to do diplomacy. Take your time to pick your side, we do not ask for rash decisions. Indeed, too many enemies have we made for ourselves by speaking to quickly. We know that with careful consideration all the wise will come to us.

Kings and Queens, Princes and Princesses, Lords, Ladies, and Gentlemen,

My People.

In a far off snow field, in days not so long past, I stood in opposition to Sir Emeth. Full valiantly did I make snowmen armies and pelt him with the white stuff. I had many friends, and many allies, yet I could not prevail though he be but one. With sweet words did he lure others to his side, yet I did not yield and would have stood unto the death until the mighty powers of Buzz sent us all back to our homes, closing the snow field to us forever.

My people, heed my words! The one I follow cannot be defeated! You style him the Dark Lord, yet perhaps it is the Dark Lord who has blinded you to your allies. Do you not find it amiss, that one who is reputed for starting and leading rebellions in your world is not on your side in this rebellion?

My friends, my comrades, listen to me! I have not been a bearer of the yellow so long that I have forgotten what it is to be ringless. Since my ascension to power I have done all I can to aid the people of Holy Worlds. Do you forget it was I who first brought the order of the Green Rings into power? Do you forget it was my hand that promoted many of the Purple? Do you forget it is I who led you on the campaign against disorder and disorganization bringing peace and consistency to our land?

What have I done to you that you should distrust me?
What cause have I given you to ever doubt me?
When have I lead you astray?

I am Vanya Katerina Jaynin, your friend and your Marcher Lord, and I tell you that this man you call the Dark Lord is my King and I will follow him to the death.

Those are wise words, friend Jaynin. I too remember how it is to not have a colorful name, and you speak for the good of all.
