So, I'm new to this forum.

My real name's Laura Elizabeth That's where my username derived from; I just scrambled a bunch of letters. I am a homeschooled senior in high school and hope to graduate somewhere in early 2010. I enjoy a wide variety of writing (mainly non-fiction now, but previously I wrote quite a bit of fiction), and God is broadening my abilities in that area so that He can use it for His glory. I'm not an "author" because none of my stuff has been professionally published, but maybe someday, God willing, I might be. I still have much to explore in the writing world, as does everyone, but I will continue to press on.

Spending time with my Lord, photography, being outside in Creation, and assisting in the therapy of disabled kids at an equestrian center are a few other things I love doing.

Other than that I can't tell you much. God is taking me through a breaking process right now, shattering the old lukewarm Christian I was so that He can mold me into a vessel that is truly honorable to Him, set apart for the astounding work of His kingdom. He is showing me what it means to really lose myself for Him... and I have no identity now except the one that He will build up in me when this time of destruction is complete.

Anyway, Jay knows who I am from Rebelution and The Writing Endeavor... that's how I found out about this awesome site. I'm not on the computer much, but I hope to utilize this forum when I can!

Glad to be here.

Hello! Welcome!

That is a REALLY cool screen name! Makes me feel rather uncreative...

Ahh! A Rebelutionary! I am one.. ish. :)

I look forward to seeing some of your stuff!

God bless!

Oh, thanks for the compliment on my screen name Daniel! I figured it should sound kind of... I don't know... old fashioned? So I had to be creative. What is the story behind your screen name? I'm sure it's just as creative if not way more than mine!

Yay! Another Rebelutionary! What did you mean by "ish"? Were you by any chance the administrator named Daniel from the Rebelution who helped me switch my username?

I look forward to sharing! Do you know if we're allowed to share things other than fantasy too? Because it might be awhile before my fantasy is um... edited into readable material.

You're welcome!
Well.. I'm very much into knights and such, and El-Elyon is one of my most favorite names of God... :) Knight of Elyon.

When I said "ish" it was because while I'm on the Rebelution, I'm not ever on...hehe.. So, no, definitely not me who helped you... I haven't really had time to get on the Rebelution since I got accepted.

I believe that we are allowed to share any of our work, though the rules could probably tell you for sure. :)

Oh! I like that! Very neat.

Okay, I see. I'm not on much either... I have been lately though.

I will double check on the rules... my stuff isn't very good so I won't share much.

Thank you.

Yes, I'm going to try and start getting on..

*tsks* Now now. You can't say that! I'm sure your stuff is as good (probably better, actually) than mine!

You're welcome.

It's an amazing website... definitely a blessing to all us teenagers who would like to have people with similar interests and beliefs around!

No, yours is probably better.

Yes! My best friend and I are leading a study on "Do Hard Things" with about half a dozen guys. :)

Hmm.. Well I guess will see... personally I have met very few people on the writing forum I'm on that are NOT better than I am.

Wow! That's great! I would love to get a study of some sort like that together around here, but I don't know many people my age and there are no other teenagers in my church. God is all-sufficient though, so if He wanted something like that to happen, it would happen!

I just posted a couple of things... if you can find them.

Cool. I found them.
I like them! I'm very bad at poetry... I've actually only written one poem, and it was TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well.. I do have a prophecy/poem thingy that is okay.

Umm.. I'll share the prophecy one, but the other one is... slightly embarrassing..

Blades of Virtue; blades of Light, Blades of Darkness shall unite
To overthrow he of the deep, deep realm, the Lord of the Dead, the conquerer of the Light.
For Remorak shall come, oh dreadful though, to slay and to rule, in the land of...

Well.. I haven't come up with the land.. :)

Why is the other one embarrassing?

Okay..

Well.. it won't make much since.. but here it is:

First of all I'll have you know that I'm not a Reb.
That was my Grandad from so long ago.

The United Kingdom it was not then,
But Britain the Great,
Oh how the people mourn for her bygone days of splendor,
But alas they are no more.

I wast not unprepared but gave courtesy to a woman by letting her strike the first blow.

And I'll have you know that I'm NOT, I REPEAT, NOT A YANK!!!!

I'm from the jolly south where sweet tea and cotton roam.

*runs and hides*

Okay.. I'll go look for them :)

I just found the other poem.. might make more since with this:

Once upon a time
(Not very long ago!)
A Yank insulted Britannia and
To war she had to go.
Astride her loyal dragon,
With anger at no ebb,
And shield, helmet and trident,
She went to crush the Reb.

He was unprepared,
Not expecting her fierce rage.
But with true rebel thoughtlessness
With his dragon he engaged
In a scene of fierce conflict,
Of spectacular might.
But who should win? Of course it is!
Britannia had the right.

Once the smoke did clear,
Of the banners proud
Could be seen one flying and
One lying on the ground.
The United Kingdom's flag
Waved proudly overhead.
And upon the ground there lay
The brave foe; he was dead!

Of the dragons two,
Britannia held the main.
The other with her might she charmed
'Fore looking on the slain.
With true patriotic majesty,
She made for him a grave.
"I'll have you know," said she "that still
BRITANNIA RULES THE WAVES!"

yeah.... Her's is SOO much better than mine..

Don't worry about it! I did the same :)

Hhhmmm...

Well, I like to be outside. Where I live is kind of quiet and there's lots of state forest on our road, so I take walks in the woods and such. I like to go to the beach too and climb the rocks. Photography, journaling, reading my Bible, writing letters (yes, old-fashioned letters!) are other things that occupy my time :) I'm pretty easy to please. Just give me a secluded spot somewhere without much noise, a Bible, a notebook and a pen, and I'm happy!

Thank you for asking, Daniel :)

I can't really draw, so I give you credit for even trying :)

As long as she doesn't have short brownish curly hair, blue eyes, and a petite figure, I'll be fine ;)

I'm getting better. (I have a sketch posted in the Character Thread)

She has blonde straight hair, and I haven't decided what color of eyes.

This is a sketch I did of her, if you are interested...

Hopefully her story will be written in the next decade or so, God willing.. :D

I like it a lot! Great job, Daniel!

Thankfully, she doesn't look anything like me. If she did, then that might be a problem ;)

Haha... I know how that is! I have so many stories that will probably never get written
