Greetings all, Previously my name on here was Epic Level Pal/Clr/Rng. But for ease in remembering it has been changed to Whackemwithhammers as was suggested by Seer.

Glad to be here, I've been looking for some place where I can bounce ideas off of other fantasy writers and perhaps discuss some of the more touchy subjects involved with writing God honoring fantasy while still retaining story and that mystical feel.

Thanks, I started writing when I was about 15. I read Eragon and thought "This guy got published? He just ripped off Star Wars, Lord of the Rings and the Pern series... I can do better than this."

I don't know if I did or not. I finished the book at about 17. and am now doing the rewrite (So it diesn't look like it was written by a 15 year old) and am now looking for a publisher.

No real story behind the name, other than I love war hammers of all kinds and love whacking things with them.

It is only the truly sane who have enough presence of mind to know they are crazy... chew on that for a while.

Yes I am, I finished my first when I was 17, started writing the second, didn't like the direction it was taking (Sequel blues) trashed it, had a years worth of writer's block, rediscovered the muse I didn't know I had, then used a veritable hash of the trash from the second with my ideas for the third one to write the true sequel.

Their Titles are: Vol 1 Lords of Everdark
Vol 2 Exiles Path.

I got so used to you being a user, I sometimes forget you're a moderator, in spite of the green, Jonathan.

Wacky is fine with me, I've been called worse things.

Incidentally, I hope none will take it amiss if I go a while without responding on occasion, my job takes up alot of my time and constantly shifting hours play a large role in that.

Glad to know I'm among people who enjoy a more poetic manner of speech.

Though I do admit I am more of a spear man myself. They just seem to have an elegance that is not found in most weapons, they have been sorely disregarded by the fantasy community in my opinion. Every body wants to swing a sword... poking is much more fun.

Hmm, we'll need to shorten you name a titch, I think. So far it looks like you've aquired Wackem and Wacky. How does a third edition to the nickname list sounds? What do you think of Kemwith? (Sorry, just lobbing out ideas here. I thought it sounded cool anyways.) At any rate, it would be my first copyright on a name here on this lovely forum. ;D (Name copyrights are pretty common around here. Controversy has been seen.)

The mysteries of the glitter tradition are hidden deep, deep inside some forum vault so olde and dusty that not even I have delved thither... not even the great Search function can reveal the origin...

Confusticate the door.... aagh. Beware of that BushMaid... if you so much as speak a word against her glitter silliness she will chain you to the door. Hence I have been cursed to drag this door wherever I go, not unlike the ghost of Jacob Marley.

Hi! Welcome to HWs. If anyone has mentioned the glitter bomb boy, that would be me. *rubs bomb in the glue and throws it up to the ceiling, so it explodes from above.* The room is now filled with glitter, so that you can't even see a foot in front of you. And it's HWs, so it's not a breathing hazard.

Whacky, just so you know, as evidenced by this thread, we are all crazy people who love to goof off. Don't be expecting a big group of serious old people who don't know how to joke around. Everyone's opinion is valued, and anyone can speak up and ask for advice. We (at least I) don't play favorites on HWs. Looking forward to see some of your writing and getting to know you.
