Greetings all!

I have a proposition for you.

For one of the classes I'm taking in college this fall, I have to print/publish/bind three different books that are over 14 pages long. Now, I don't have enough stories sitting around fulfill these requirements, so I thought I'd come talk to you all!

Do you happen to have any manuscripts sitting around just waiting to be formatted for print? I'd prefer them to be finished stories that are over 14 pages long and fantasy in genre. In return for letting me make your words look pretty, I'm willing to mail you the final product (once it's graded and the class is over - about mid-October). In the end, this is a completely free, print formatted copy of your book!

So, to lay it out simple, here's my proposal in bullet points!

I will format your finished book for print for free (I'll even send you a PDF of the formatted file!)
I will only be making one copy!
I'm willing to mail the printed book to you (no shipping... unless it's more then this average college student can afford, then we'll talk).
If you don't want me to mail it to you, I'll do whatever you want me to do with the copy (I'd prefer not to burn it, but... if you ask!)

If you're interested, please reply here or you can use the email on my profile :)

In Christ,
Vili~

ps. This does not include a cover, just the interior.

Oooooh.... tempting offer. *pokes files*
I know I've got something fantasy in here somewhere... *pokes harder*

In other words, I'm interested!

Would you take a sci-fi story? :D Like... Robus? It's 18 pages. :)

It's okay if you'd rather not. :)

I only said fantasy to keep all three stories within a theme... but if I can get three SF stories, I'll go that way :) *skips over to post on HWSF*

I found something for you. Tellar's Riders, grand total of 26 pages; four related short stories. (There were originally going to be six, but I never wrote the other two, and then I forgot what they were going to be... but that's beside the point.)

I'm curious what kind of class this is. XD

Is this hand-binding? (I hand-bound a book once; that was an experience. :D)

(I don't think I have anything done. But I'll cheer for ya. XD)

It's for Intro to Layout. The teacher prints and binds books by hand for a living (that's why she's pretty excited for this project ;)).

Depending on the length of the pieces I get, they may in fact be hand bound :)

Oh, wow.

If you ever want to talk bookbinding, chat me. I actually.... you know... if you need supplies... I could check what I have left that I don't want anymore. It was a one-summer project that I realised was horribly messy and took time and space. And I didn't end up being able to do what I wanted to do with it (rebind old books - but the problem is that old books are gluebound, which is really hard to rebind into nice hardcovers. :P) So I have things like a bone folder and fancy glue that I ordered off the internet. Chances are I'll never get back to it, so if you can use any of it, let me know. :)

I thought you liked time and space, Mel? ;)

I think Robus is my only story that could work.

Kay... so far I have Jaynin's Teller's Riders (26 pages) and Ani's Robus (18 pages). If need be, I'll supplement my own work... But! I'm leaving things open until Sunday (Sep. 18) evening. After that I need to get to work on things in order to be finished with time to spare for errors.

Thanks for the interest everyone! :D
