I am Professor Funderwall (A.K.A. - Tim Sleeper). I joined a couple of days ago with the username "timthegeek", but decided to use a name from a screenplay I am working on.

I don't like writing novels. That medium is something I just can't get a hang of. Instead, I write plays and screenplays (hopefully that's allowed here). I am currently working on a Sci-Fi/Fantasy screenplay that draws influences from Alice in Wonderland, Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court, and the Picture of Dorian Gray.

Besides writing I spend my time doing school, playing guitar and piano, and Web design.

I am not sure how often I will visit the forum, but I definitely want to be involved in it!

Welcome to Holy Worlds!

Hope you enjoy this site! I personally think screenplay is pretty neat. We have several other members on here (can't think of any names at the moment, but they are there) who are interested in similar sorts of genres. We have quite a mix of interests on here so I think you'll do great.

Glad to have you on!

That does sound really interesting. I can't wait to hear more about it!

Thanks for the support! I wasn't sure if this was a "novel" only forum, but I'm glad to see my screenplay has y'all interested! I will post some more about it soon!

Can't argue with that kind of logic!

Doesn't pay to argue with Jay anyway!
He owns the place. *grin*

Anyway welcome to Holy Worlds and we're glad to have ya!
Look forward to seeing some of that screen play you're working on.
I've always loved Dorian Gray and found Alice to be entertaining.

The books or the music in which we thought the beauty was located will betray us if we trust to them; it was not in them, it only came through them, and what came through them was longing. These things—the beauty, the memory of our own past—are good images of what we really desire; but if they are mistaken for the thing itself they turn into dumb idols, breaking the hearts of their worshippers. For they are not the thing itself; they are only the scent of a flower we have not found, the echo of a tune we have not heard, news from a country we have never yet visited.

All the things that have deeply possessed your soul have been but hints of it—tantalising glimpses, promises never quite fulfilled, echoes that died away just as they caught your ear... We cannot tell each other about it. It is the secret signature of each soul, the incommunicable and unappeasable want . . . which we shall still desire on our deathbeds . . . ~C.S. Lewis
