Hi! My name is Deanna, on some sites I go by Dena on fanfic by lunawannabe77. I'm a 14 year old Texan from Houston. I'm a flautist. (hate that word) I am completly obsessed with Narnia, which should be evident from my username. I also love LotR and HP. I read an insane amount, but I'm very picky with my books, which can sometimes be bad as I read very fast and get through books quickly. I love quoting things, and can recite lines from books or movies randomly in everyday convorsation. I love to write, though I've just started. Mainly I write Narnia fanfic (an awesome fandom, you have to check it out!) but I'm hoping to get around to writing some original fiction. Hopefully I'll be able to start next year, as I'm going to be homeschooling. Yay! I'm really glad for the chance to meet more experianced writers, because in school we don't really learn how to write anything interesting. "I've never met anyone who wanted to read the essays." See what I mean about quotes? Ten thousand points to anyone who guesses what that's from. This has been very looooong, but I hope you go tto know me better!

Welcome Deanna!!! Hope you can learn and grow on this site. I too have had obsessions, not with Narnia I must admit, but I know the feeling ( :D Happy). And I too am a flautist; I hate the word also. You should go on the review section on this site to see if there is any other books that might interest you.

Glad to have you here :)

Would you mind if I asked what a flautist is?

I'll check out your stories on FanFic. And yes, I love Narnia too, though I will have to admit it takes second place to Middle Earth.

I'd say that that quote either came from Harry Potter (I've never read those books, myself), or one of the Narnia books... The Horse And His Boy, maybe?

Yep, when C.S. Lewis was describing the Calormen way of telling stories.

Welcome, Deanna!

I hope you have a splendid time here at Holy Worlds and that it is helpful to you in your writing!

I knew that quote was C. S. Lewis... I would've been able to figure out the book if I'd thought a bit more, but unfortunately I scrolled down and read it. :)

Haha, YES!
I actually started reading that book for the third or so time back in August or September, but I never finished it. The first time I read it it was boring. I forced myself to read it a second time to try and understand it, and after that I liked it better.

Arias Myles,
A flautist is a person who plays the flute. I know the word makes no sense.

I was wondering if that was what that was... I would just call them "flutists"... has a much nicer ring to it. But strange words are cool, too! I really do like strange words. :)

Welcome , Deanna!
I have to agree with Arias; I like Narnia, but Middle Earth is my favorite!
And I have always thought the word 'flautist' was strange... it really doesn't make sense! :)

Welcome! And, yes, when I say your username, I thought immediately of Aslan. I do have a question, what is fanfic? I don't know if I've heard of it.

Elestar, fanfic is Fan Fiction. Taking favorite books and movies and redoing them with different plots and some times different characters. Sometimes it isn't redoing them, but adding into what is already there. Hope that helps!

Welcome to Holy Worlds Deanna! I like Narnia too, after LOTR of course. It is nice to meet another homechooler, soon-to-be or not! :)

Hi Deanna!
Welcome to HW. I remember we PMed back and forth on the rebelution site. Do you mind if I call you something like Liongirl, or Lion'sdaughter, or something like that? :D

Glad to know your a Narnia fanatic, those books were my first venture into reading fantasy. My favorite of the series was the Horse and his Boy, which has already been quoted on here, so I'm not going to do so. ;)

Do you have any stories currently going, or are you still planning them out, or something like that? That is always one of the first things I ask on here, I guess it gets old really quick. But anyway, glad to have you aboard!

Welcome, Deanna! I play the flute, too! How long have you been playing?

You're not alone. I have probably over the past few months quoted the entire movie of Robots and my friends are never quite sure when a quote is going to jump out of my mouth. Nice to know there are others who share my oddities.
Hope Holy Worlds helps you in your writing endeavors.
In Christ,
Jordan
