I wish only to ask one question. When I so grievously failed my duty by rebelling against our leader, I failed to think of this one question. Yet I think that by asking it the entire rebellion can be dissolved.

Should you people in some way succeed by overthrowing the existing Lord of these Forums - then what? You would have some very un-led forums. You realize that you have one Marcher Lord on your side. One. Are you aware of the effort it takes to lead these forums, to keep them running smoothly? Do you know that five-sixths of the rings would flee, should Jay ever be removed from power?

And then who would lead? Reiyen? Elanhil? Griffin? Which one of you would become the Dark Lord, only to be overthrown by the next generation of hot-headed HRMs? Do you really want a vicious cycle of war and terror to destroy these forums?

Why can you not accept them as they are? You still have not proven to us one thing that the Dark Lord has done to harm you. Indeed, the recent event with Varon shows us that he does everything within his power to help us and keep us safe.

I have a new scheme, to drown the rebellion by dousing them repeatedly in hilarious poetry.

How Holy Worlds was Lost

A dreadful night
An ill-conceived plan
A ring was forged in darkness
A morning dawned
Red with doom
We saw it settle o’er us.

A ring of power.
Dreadful thought!
Made by our own dear Admin
What shall we do?
Our hearts cried out,
To save him from his dark sin?

We pleaded,
Yet appealed in vain
There was no hope to save him.
What would become
Of Holy Worlds?
How could we regain our freedom?

The last alliance
At first was formed
They stood in stoic rebellion
Reiyan their leader
We could not put down
Though we all agreed he’s a hellion.

With mighty words
From Middle-earth
The others he did beguile
He made our leader
Out to be
Full of thoughts dark and vile.

I stood aghast
As so many of our
Ring-bearers his words did believe
I was afraid
Of the choice I made
Perhaps I was truly deceived.

But I stood alone
As the color changed
On the ring that wielded his power
Then I knew
I had chosen true
And he was my king in that hour.

But the battle raged on
Between father and son
Between admin and rebellious user
We watched all with dread
Power went to his head
Reiyen, who many saw traitor.

Many the colored rings
Went to his side!
Eruheran, Duke of Lenecthrea!
Many moderators
Were by his words were swayed
And most of the Scholar’s Hall area!

Griffin, Elanhil
The rebel’s right hands
Dear Hannah still speaking in riddles
With proud Neil of Erk
Threatening their doom
And many still caught in the middle.

Who was right? Who was wrong?
And how would this end?
Everyone had begun now to wonder.
Would we be forever
Divided and cross?
Would Holy Worlds be torn asunder?

I knew I was right
And I knew I spoke truth
Such an evil I still could not fathom
To make our own people
Believe of us ill
And think that to us the dark had come.

I make an appeal!
I begged you consider!
The friends that you now styled dark
What answer will be
Yet given to me?
Only you can decide and remark.

Its not a good thing if a forum dies because of one person. That's why I dislike overlords.
(because if they get tired than everything goes down hill.)
(and this thread is silly :P )

It is the rings who corrupt the Dark Lord. If we take him out, we would destroy the rings forever.

Nice...I actually found it without the link. Kinda scary. Joe is a rebel and he doesn't even know it...

I would rather that then this...corrupted form of magic!

Poor Joe Bloe. He was going to be your most loyal subject, Sir Emeth, until you marked him thus! ;)

At what point did the Marcher Lords get together and decide to spell my name with an "A?"

Having read all the way from page four to page fourteen of this thread, I find myself at a loss for appropriate words. I shall simply borrow the words of my friends of darker skin-tones and say, "Yall need Jesus!"

Seriously though, I do wonder how Reiyen is ever going to get published if he spends more time writing speeches for a nonsensical-rebellion than he does actually writing his book :)

I've pretty much avoided this thread because a 14-paged thread speaks to me of insanity that I haven't had time to investigate. Now that I have, all I can do is wonder if there's any hope left for the future of mankind if our generation holds "the leaders of tomorrow". God have mercy on the poor world :D

How Holy Worlds was Won

Resistance is futile
With sweet words
And marvelous many new features
The dark lord will
Bring you back again
To be his obedient creatures

The rebellion swiftly
Falls apart
Lord Reiyen cannot to stop it
Against a new chat room
None can withstand
The Alliance will just have to drop it.

Against our dark lord
A serious charge
Was brought of an unjust banishment
But our lord Varon
Was safely returned
Assured that it was not a punishment

Then quiet fell
The rebellion faltered
The eloquence of their resistance
Slowed, and then stopped
The thread near-forgotten
And no one rendered assistance

All is now still
And justice has won
In an odd kind of trial by combat
The only thing left
Is a few silly phrases
Written by Vanya the Poet.

We’ll never forget
All of these brave words
And the trials our forum went under
But the order prevails
And tradition won’t fail
And the board has not been torn asunder.

Our hats off to you, Reiyen
And to all of your comrades
Full well did you battle and fight
And so I withdraw
From the field of combat
Leaving nothing but poetry in sight.

Your words shall not be the last:

"Freely in the Forums Did They Stand"
Set to "Far Over the Misty Mountains"
For the director of Holy Worlds
    A song of Reiyen

Deep within the forums old
Within the creative author's mold
He made his stand, in his own Red land
Within these words his story's told

A duel of authors, a duel of pens
Reiyen fought to oust Lauser from his den
He fought the fight, the bravest knight
His allies and he, the bravest have ever been

No words of warning could cease his shouts
He fought on, hoping ever to win the rout
Against the Dark Admin, and his Marcher kin
The Alliance fought, till they were trapt roundabout

The neutrals sought to forge their own side
Like the Ents they earnestly tried
Seeking peace they got war, breeding strife the more
Until in his own realm Eruheran did choose to abide

As yellow turned on yellow
And words changed from harsh to mellow
The war did cool, but Reiyen was no fool
He kept Elanhil as his trusted fellow

And the Princess of the King
Her voice did valiantly sing
Against the Lords, who fight with swords
As they seek to take control of every ring

So now into the shadows we will go
This Alliance shall hide in the clouds and snow
The lines were drawn, and now they're gone
For as guerillas, we make a perfect foe

So now away into the dark I disappear
But I carry my ring, crystal clear
It was faithfully preserved, its power reserved
I will call it my Precious, my close dear...

Perhaps in hiding, we must now go, but I warn you. This show of recent kindness has purpose unseen. Is it mere coincidence that after the Dark Lord was revealed that he shows seeming care? Now we let ourselves fall back to slavery. And because of what? A bribe. I have fought long and hard, but cannot openly resist any longer. Into the shadows I shall go and bide my time. This overflow of what is said to be generosity cannot fool me. Often, also, do those committing an evil deed accuse those in the right of an evil as well. Did not Grima accuse Eomer of war-mongering? And did not Saruman accuse Gandalf of lies and manipulation? But I for one will not be deceived by this Dark Lord. He is even called the Dark Lord by those who follow Him. Apparently, we are not the only ones with slight discord. You may have noticed the unwavering loyalty of those surrounding Him. Most believe they are in the right. How can they know the true nature of our Dark Ruler? I mourn you, my poor, deceived fellow users.

Reiyen, I fear for you. Though still resisting, you are falling prey to the power of the Ring He bestow upon. I warn you again, they are only tools for His purpose of destroying us.

Do not forget this, oh followers of the Dark Lord! I now fall back, but it is not over! There may be a day when the strength of our Alliance fails! But it is not this day! There may be a day when our swords our broken and our shields torn! But it is not this day! There may be a day when we our forced to fall at the feet of the Dark Lord! But it is not this day! Today we fight!

So ends my long valediction.
