Okay, so you're in the car with someone, you look over at the nearest billboard, and... o.O ... You misread it. But what a funny mistake it was! Or maybe, you're in the grocery store and you pick up a box of cereal because you swore you saw "Frantic Flakes" instead of "Frosted Flakes."

Here is a place you can write down those word mishaps!

Around 5 minutes ago, I could have sworn I saw a user name "Klingon" in the online user list...

It was kingjon XD

Oh dear, every time I see the word CPAP (as in, a breathing machine), I misread it... I won't bother to say what I read it as. o.O

Calista... I misread it too. *headdesk* :P

Well, on audio calls, my accent changes so much, I'm unaware of it changing - my friend will tell me I've started speaking in an Irish accent or a southern accent, and I'll not have any recollection of it.

Then last night, for some unearthly reason, I was talking to my daddy, and I apparently accidentally called him 'dude'. I have no idea why. XD

I can't list them, because I hilariously misread everything. If I have any new ones though, I'll try to remember to share them.

A shop in town is called 'Busy Needles,' but because of the fancy font, I thought it said 'Busy Noodles.' XD

The Our Daily Bread book said today's thing was "the Eleventh Hour" but I kept reading it as "the Eleventh Doctor", which is random, because I don't watch DW...xD

Yeah... :D Either that, or a halfing with a British accent. 'What? I'm an 'alfing, old fellow.' Though of course, they don't actually call themselves halflings. :P * shrugs *

Yes, I have had that problem with "CPAP" too.

This is not a misread, but a mis-processed. The day before my family left to visit my grandparents in Arizona, we had some friends over. When they bade us good-by, the mom said "Say hi to all the hot people there!"
My brain would have phrased a description of people sweltering in heat differently, and for some reason, I thought she meant "attractive". It sounded really weird to me until after they left, when I got what she was really saying. o.O

*laughs* That is REALLY coincidental, given that the 'Eleventh Hour' was the first episode of the Eleventh Doctor...

My dad and I were driving through a city - don't remember where. There was a tall building, at at the top it said 'Turkey Law'. BOTH of us misread it, twice.

It actually said 'Turley' Law'....

An offling really is someone who willingly secludes themselves from all internet access for an extended period of time.

I haven't done a funny misread in a long time. :( Life is boring, but reading all these makes it better.

I read Hollister as Holy Steer and now I have visions of angelic halo-crowned cows....

I also read "Caution: Pedestrians Crossing" as "Cation: Pedestrions Crossing"

This isn't really a misread, but rather a mispronunciation.

I saw the word "Chanel" and pronounced it "Channel" as in, "Let me change the Channel on my TV!"
