I am thinking about my story that I am working on, and I wonder if I have enough love in it?

I wonder if the love of the Lord would be shown in the story, and if it would reach my readers clearly; that they would feel love through the story. How about yours? Are your stories portraying love?

It is! :)
I went through and wrote down on index cards what changes need to be made. And asked myself questions about my story. I know that there's love in it but I don't know if it's portrayed well enough. Hmmmm

I think a lot of it depends in life experience as well? When I was younger (elevenish) I wrote a love story (I know  ) and it really wasn't realistic at all. Now I think it would be easier to write about love more realistically than it was when I was younger.

That said, I think that pictures that be made clealy without actually being defined. I can read a book written by a non Christian and make connections as a Christian from it, when they probably haven't even intended it.

I find that it's easiest for me to write about God's love after reading the Bible. Because yes, He is a loving God, but He is also a just God, and I want to make sure I strike the right balance. It's a challenge, but it's a good challenge.

As to romantic love, it differs from character to character. I do have ships, but they each show love for each other in different ways during the courting process. Some leave flowers on their beloved's windowsill, others just blurt a proposal.

I think much of it depends on the actions portrayed in the book. It takes a long time for my characters to realize it, but the actions of God's love are all around them. There is a grave sort of awe when they discover how He has cared for them when they did not know it. One instance showed joy in the midst of difficult circumstances. Whether or not it will connect with each reader, I do not know, but I hope I have presented it well.
