I have posted some scenes from a role-playing character. The game has become, for me, context for trying new writing skills. In general conflict and tension are not my strengths. I'm assuming there are other challenge areas and that's my request. Would you be willing to read a scene and tell me one thing I could do better?

The stories are sci-fi but not crunchy.

Thank you! One of the things I wasn't sure about is how much to paint the background. It sounds like that answer is "more".
