I just recently joined HW after a friend told me about it! I'm still figuring out the ropes of the site, but thought it would just be best if I introduced myself here lol!

I am currently working on the third book of my trilogy (it's not published yet). My books are really complex, so it would be close to impossible to describe it. All you need to know is that my story is from the perspective of a twenty-five year old villain called Rauhl (rhymes with Paul) Drake. The trilogy chronicles the transformations he goes through as he turns from his wicked ways and goes on a journey of self-discovery to eventually accept the Creator into his calloused, bitter heart (this is barely scratching the surface of the story lol!). You will likely meet Rauhl and the other principle characters from my books at some point. The main theme for my books is that God (the Creator) can take broken, despicable people and use them for His glory. Life may be hard, but God is good no matter what. Other themes include faith, hope, perseverance, forgiveness and true love (both in the romantic sense and non-romantic sense).

As for myself, I primarily enjoy writing (obviously), drawing, sports and enjoy the great outdoors! I love observing the world around me in all its complexity. Our God is amazing!

I have very few writer friends who I can bounce ideas off and/or work on making my characters more realistic/memorable. I look forward to working with you guys and hearing your stories as well!

@Calista how does the chat room work? Is it between anyone, or only people you specify? My favorite fantasy weapon would have to be an enchanted sword (embedded with an element of some sort or damage enhancing spell). I appreciate other weapons such as magic powers themselves, but there's nothing more exciting than a sword duel or something that's close in combat lol How bout you?

I like to draw anything from wildlife and fish to people and architecture. Drawing comes in handy when wanting to create a book cover, although sadly I can't draw the same character the same way each time

I agree, you can't beat sword fights. I think my favorite fantasy weapon is a dragon. Seriously, though, who wouldn't want to ride on top of a huge hunk of muscle that spouts fire and flies?
