:book: So when I was nearing the end of writing my book, I noticed that I was dealing with a lot more resistance from the enemy! From schedule interruptions to writers block to weariness from working late nights to well a lot of other things. I was being taught something through it all.
In 2 Kings 4:1-7 it talks about the woman paying off her debts with oil. After her husband passed on, she was left with unpaid debts and a threat of losing all she had including her two precious sons. When Elisha told her the word from the Lord on what to do, how do you think her heart was? She was tired and weary, but she persevered and was diligent in her obedience to the Lord. As she went from door to door asking for jars to fill with oil, she may have been tired but she pushed on and I truly believe that she touched lives in every house she entered! When she had filled the room with the jars, the Lord began to fill them up with oil! When there was no more jars to fill the oil stopped and she sold it, paying off all her debt, keeping her sons, with extra to live on! The Lord pulled through for her. The jars I believe represent us and the oil, is the Lord filling us. We have him stop filling us when we limit him! The oil, he wants to give us! We have to receive it and bless others with it, and not limit him.
What causes us to limit God is fear! Fear of failure, fear of being wrong (which is pride) fear of what he has in store for us (which is lack of faith), fear of what others think (fear of man). Let me tell you something about fear.... Fear is a sin to the Lord because it hurts him deeply that we are not trusting in him and stopping him from blessing us. When I saw the true definition of fear its an acronym for False Evidence Appearing Real....I had a major break through with it. I repented for it and now im walking better with the Lord than what I had been. On occasion I would have fear and it is okay to be afraid, but when you allow it to control you to where it prevents you from serving him and serving others, then that is wrong. The widow in the story had to push past her fears, ask the Lord for help, allow him to move in her life....in the end she was a blessing to others, and the Lord rewarded her greatly! This is the year of double portion! The Lord gave her double of everything in the end! So don't limit God with your abilities to write and be artistic.....you will be greatly rewarded in the end... Receive your portions!

Love and Blessing with encouragement.....keep going!

Reminds me of the song "Give me oil in my lamp, keep it burning..." I guess fear could be like the lint & dust that clogs up the lamp and doesn't allow it to burn properly. I've been a bit overwhelmed in the promotion & launch of my book. I hardly ever have writer's block, but guess what? Yep. I have two columns past due & have been having trouble coming up with a post for my own blog. :? The Lord is faithful. Cleaning my lamp and asking for a refill of oil now... ;)

I agree! He is faithful, he never EVER leaves us empty handed, in the dark, or alone....he will come through for you as he has done for me...I will keep you in prayer :)

Thank you for the prayer Lady Heather. I'm just about caught up with online stuff now. There will always be tedious archive updates to do. I have one curriculum review and then my sewing machine is calling me. I have a baby quilt to finish for a friend of Stormcry' s & summer cloths to make.
NEVER BOORED!
