Respect, humility, as what is taught from some of the lessons parents teach us.
They are preparing you to fulfill your destiny, training can be tough, sometimes you will be able to understand what you are to learn other times not.
No matter how hard they are on you, remember to love and respect them. Learn from them, many times they have walked the paths that you will walk. Some they have learned, and caution you to not make the same mistakes and decisions they have made. ALWAYS love them. when it comes time for you to go on your own and follow what our king asks you to do, they are there for back up. but as one of my characters in my story she has to learn to follow God on her own. Yes she was trained, but the decision is ultimately hers. Trust in the Lord, he gives your parents the keys young ones to grow you in him. So like I said when the time comes for you to be on your own...you can and you will be effective. Not just in life but in writing, art, photography, etc.... Parents can help you and encourage you to do these things. Wise they are. ;) you will be able to know what to do when things come up due to listening, receiving instruction... They teach the ways of the Lord, they train you up in the way that you should go, so that you may not depart from it .... ;)
Some children, are not able to have parents like this. some may even come from broken homes....if this is you. Don't lose heart! Stay with the Lord. Pursue him and continue to walk in his ways! He knows all and see's all.

Remember that he LOVES YOU! no matter who you are where you are what the circumstances are at hand...Never forget that. :)
Let him grow you. :dieshappy:

Thanks for this, Heather! :) I'll admit that it's hard to trust your parents wisdom at all times.

It is hard to trust one's parents, and there have been times when I doubted them, but in the end, they always had my good at heart, and I don't regret it at all. :)

This is very true, Heather. It gets harder as you grow older and mature into adulthood, and you have to make your own choices; but you can always honour your parents even if you don't follow their advice/agree with them over an issue.
