Has anyone heard of these books?

The Crown and Covenant Trilogy is about a family of Scottish Covenanters during the 1600-1700s.

One thing I think is REALLY cool (besides all the bows and blunderbusses, and other interesting weapons. ;) ) is the multi-generational scope of the books.

The reader follows the family through generations, and it's so neat to see the way all their kids turn out, and the way the clan actually affects history!

Nessa- She's given up the veil, the vows she'd sworn, abandoned every effort to conform. Without a word to anyone she's gone her way alone, a dove escaping back into the storm.

Nolan- And though I don't understand why this happened, I know that I will when I look back someday, and see how you've brought beauty from ashes, and made me as gold purified through the flames.

Azriel- And who do you think you are, running round leaving scars, collecting your jar of hearts, and tearing love apart? You're gonna catch a cold from the ice inside your soul, so don't come back to me. Don't come back at all...

I love these books! :D I love the Scottish brogue, and the stories, and all of them. I highly, highly recommend them.

The third installment in the Faith and Freedom trilogy came/comes out this year, I believe. I think I like Crown and Covenant better. Has anyone else read Hostage Lands? (I take Latin, so I had an especial fondness for it...)

Interestingly, I figured out that the people in the FaF trilogy are the descendants of the CaC clan. I'll stop gushing now, but I would love some discussion. :D
