For the past month my brother and I have been working out ideas and sporadically filming scenes for the first episode of our sitcom for Youtube, which we hope will run in 12 to 24 10-15 minute long episodes each year. We plan to upload the episodes on the last Saturday of each month, but we weren't ready with the first one because of a big snowstorm so we've brought y'all an introductory video, in which Stephen and I act like the goofballs we are.

If the side-splitting laughter of a sleep-deprived writer is any indication, the first episode turned out pretty darn good. About fourteen minutes long.

It's edited together with title and credits music, now all that remains is to replace all the camera's audio with the digital recorder's audio--a big job but Stephen is game for tackling it tomorrow morning--and add a little music throughout. Then we should be able to upload it to Youtube tomorrow evening.

It's awesome! I really liked when Stephen was running and stopped at the stop sign, and took your "instructions" literally. The story was also quite creative, and you guys are just plain hilarious! Good job!

Hehe. Thanks. We were stopping at random places for his running shots and we stopped there, and I said 'You should stop at the stop sign.'

It's really an intuitive process. We have a basic story idea, and then work with what we have at hand wherever we happen to be filming. Spanish Olives? We asked Bill (the old guy) for a jar of coins to use since we didn't have one and that's the one he chose at random.

Which reminds me...I have to go return his jar of coins and let him know the video is done.

Possibly because I'm a joker on the forum and Stephen's the joker in the show, while I play a grouchy character.

That is hilarious! It's even better than the first one, good job! I'm not sure if you can do anything about this, but the only problem I've had with these videos is sound, sometimes I miss a little of what is said.
But all the same, good job! Also, I can somewhat relate to this video because my hair is close to as long as yours was...and I also hate haircuts! Keep 'em comin'!

Yes, on this one, we did manage to use the sound from the digital recorder, but somebody had played with it and during some parts the input level was set way too high (making it fuzzy even when reduced to a good volume), and during the other parts it was set way too low, so even turned all the way up it's barely loud enough. ANOTHER thing to watch for when we record the next episode.

We're learning.

The next episode, by the way, is going to be a two-part one, and it's going to be SO much fun. Can't wait...

Oh, cool, I'm glad you have some equipment to work with (I think I realized that sometimes because I was hearing sound that wouldn't be picked up by the cammike on it's own).
