Yes - I think my laptop has breathed its last. I'm ringing the repair shop tomorrow to see if they think it's fixable. However as I've planned to buy a new one for some time now, it seems silly to pay out a lot of money fixing my old one. So it all depends on the cost.

If it's broken, I think I can buy a new one in about three weeks. Up until then I will be tryng to use Mother and Dad's computer - I probably won't be around too much for a little while.

I'll try and keep up with PMs; my laptop is playing temperamental at the moment, and sometimes it stays on for about 15 minutes, so I might be able to use it a little; we shall see.

Anyway, this is just yet another heads up on why I will be scarce.

My parents have said they're ok with me using their computer a little, so I won't be totally absent, and will probably be able to check up on Holy Worlds once a day or something like that. The joys of sharing a computer with 4 other people. My little sister uses the family computer a lot. Plus their computer is really weird with Holy Worlds. No idea why, but anyway! I'll keep up with PM's and try to post a little.

I won't be in that chat room at all, until I get my new computer - I'm hoping in about three weeks if my plans work out right; so hopefully I won't be gone for too long.

I thought my laptop was working alright this morning, but then I noticed the bottom right of the screen was really hot, and looked like it was burning. I phoned a repair shop this afternoon and they basically said buy a new laptop, it sounds like the motherboard has gone. So yep, it's definitely broken.

Glad you aren't gonna be totally gone, though.

I'm still around. I've had a super busy week with my dog grooming; I'm waiting on buying the laptop 'til the end of next week, so we'll see how that goes.

I could buy the laptop this week, but it would leave me rather skint and I don't want to put myself in that place right now. I should be able to buy it in the next week or two, but I'm holding off right now. It seems the sensible option - I hate sensible options, don't you? So yeah, I'll still be scarce until I get it.

I have a lot more time on the computer now, and everyone's got used to me using it. I'm not sure when I'll get my new laptop, but the only place you'll notice my absence will be the chat room.
