Do you prefer being rewarded by a cute kitty picture, or punished by creepy sounds?

I prefer using Write or Die for when I want to get stuff written quickly, but when I'm not in a rush, I use Written Kitten for some encouragement. :)

Although, I find that negative reinforcement works better for me.

Post your own opinions as well!

I've never heard of the Kitten one. But loud scary noises and the pending deletion of words is enough to motivate me.

I've found ways to trick Write or Die and continue to procrastinate. Then again, I have a cat of my own, and don't really NEED cute kitten pics...

hmmmm

*grins* Who can refuse a cute kitten picture? But then again, I have found that Write or Die is the best reinforcer for me. :D

:dieshappy:

What I do sometimes is set a goal for Written Kitten, set that same goal for Write or Die, actually write with Write or Die, and when I have completed my goal, I copy paste it to Written Kitten and reward myself with a cute picture. ^_^

I think I've heard of Write or Die. Is that the one that will delete your text if you don't finish your word count...or something like that?

I'm not really into kittens so...I don't think a kitty picture would work for me. But I'd be very upset if I knew that my words would disappear if I didn't make it to the goal (doesn't it kind of save even just a bit and then send it to you several days later? :P).

*Grins* I use both. I like kittens, but WoD can really make me write.

It doesn't eat your words if you set it to gentle. I'm too scared of it eating my words to try the harder setting. :P

I always have it set on Kamikaze consequences and Evil grace period. I generally aim for 400 words in 10 minutes. I tend to fix any typos I make as I write.
