Hey guys and gals,
I came to post a link to a recent interview I had with Robin Sullivan and Hugh Howey (two major success stories of Indie Publishing), but I guess I could make this thread my go to spot for podcast episodes on AudioTim specific to Indie Publishing.
AudioTim 33: Indie Publishing with Hugh Howey and Robin Sullivan- their success stories, inspiration on what to do post book one such as how to manage time marketing versus writing the next book (hint, very little), and the importance of quality over quantity towards word-of-mouth advertising. (includes giveaway of signed paperback of Wool Omnibus by Hugh Howey, a five-star SF; deadline 5/8)
AudioTim 30: (
part one: Robin Sullivan of Ridan Publishing on Amazon and IPG; and
part two: Robin Sullivan of Ridan Publishing on Amazon and Future of Ebooks)
- Great advice on the debate over whether to use Amazon in the midst of their "Draconian" business tactics, pros and cons of KDP select, and the future of the ebook marketplace (including something Holy Worlds could be as far as becoming a source for purchasing ebooks... that's just a thought on the spot, but anyway... that's part of part two (b)'s discussion on what the big publishers could do to take the market share back from Amazon by offering ebooks from their site only.)
AudioTim 24: Lane Diamond and D.T. Conklin of Evolved Publishing- Evolved Publishing is an author's cooperative method of publishing and is really hitting it off with some quality (though non-Christian) books.
