Happy New Year, my dear friends! May we grow together in the grace of God, and may this be a year filled with blessings for all of you.

What is the most memorable thing for you, that you can think of, for 2011?

What hopes do you have for 2012?

Many blessings!

Steph

*Chuckles* 12:17 here now! 2012.

We just were watching the flying lanterns being set off into the sky, it reminded me of Tangled!

Nice. :D

You need to answer your own questions. ;)

Ok. ;) I'll do them if you do them after me. *Chuckles*

Let me see. I think for 2011 one of the most memorable things for me would be getting my qualification in dog grooming, and setting up my own business. Seeing all the new stages of life starting for my brothers and sisters was also very memorable for me. :) Even if hard at times, still very memorable in a happy way.

Hopes for 2012: I am not sure. Many of my hopes are based on my business, which probably sounds very sad, but it's a big part of my life at the moment. I'd like to see my brother married, but who's to say if that will happen in 2012. :D But here's hoping. Hoping for something doesn't mean it will happen, just that you hope it will. ;) I hope I make some more Christian friends in my area, so I don't feel quite so lonely over here. Lots of hopes you see. :)

Er...the worst day of my (Christian) life, which occurred this year, was/is pretty memorable. :P

What hopes do you have for 2012?
Know and love God better, read my Bible more, pray more, love people more, get well, new gear, metal detecting, GearQuest...Et cetera. Lots.
God bless,

There are a couple memorable things for me in 2011.

1st would be getting our first dog. She is a border collie named Tessa. We got her in July when she was 11 weeks old. She's now 8 months old. I enjoy play with her and teaching her tricks. :D

2nd would be moving. We moved in October. Now, we live on 4.6 acres and have 10 animals. I really love living in the country. :D

Happy New Year, everyone! :D

My most memorable thing was a bad thing that God worked out for good.

One of my hopes is to write more. :D

I've had so many memorable things happen this year, it's hard to name one. :D One of the first that comes to mind though, was meeting my dear friend Bek and her family for the first time. :D

My biggest hope for 2012 is to become more prepared for whatever future God has in store for me. :D

See it's true, all things work together for good! Even the hard situations God can change around! :) And we end up being better off in some way, growing closer to God, or having a deeper relationship with Him because of what we've gone through.

*Loves all these posts*

Every new years eve in our family, we each of us try to tell each other a memorable thing from that year, and what we hope for the coming one. It's nice to look back and remember sometimes. :) God is good!

The most memorable thing... hmm. It is difficult to pick one. Quite a few weddings have been happening in my end of the world, but by no means mine  so I guess I would have to go for my involvement in kid's programs. Maybe.

Hopes for 2012? Expanding my horizons. I know that's very vague, but it's one way of expressing it. I want to write more than I have, pray more than I have, and work more than I have. And read more than I have. :book:

For me the most memorable thing was not the most happy. The death of a very special little guy named Lucas was one neither I, nor his parents that I am very attached to, will forget.

My hopes for the New Year is that wounds will be healed, the old shall become new, and I will continue to grow and be strengthened by my heavenly Father as He and I enter a new chapter in my life. :)

Be careful of your thoughts; guard your mind, for your thoughts become words. Be guarded when you speak, for your words turn into action. Watch what you do, for your actions will become habits. Be wary of your habits, for they become your character. Pray over your character; strive to mold it to the image of Christ, because your character will shape your destiny.

Ideas can germinate from the smallest seeds. Collect those seeds, and let them grow in the back of your mind. You may be surprised by what finally blooms.

When God takes something from your grasp, he's not punishing you. Instead, He’s opening your hands to receive something better. The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.

Works in progress:

The Diegosian Mark, 115,600 words (Preparing for Publication)
The Diegosian Rider, 121,400 words (Finished)
The Diegosian Warrior, 15,000 (In Progress)

HAPPY NEW YEAR! :D

My goals for this year is to be a better person, more patient, more giving, more productive, and to focus more on God and less on myself. :D

The most memorable thing of this year for me was buying a bus and moving into it. ;)

Mods Note: I have moved this topic to Introductions and Celebrations. We have renamed the I&P room, so that celebration threads can be posted there, rather than in GD which is already a very busy room. Carry on! :)
