It's quite possible that no one is really coming over to our house for New Years Eve, so I was wondering if there was anyone who had the same situation? If so, I propose an event. A Holy Worlds New Years Eve Chat EXTRAVAGANZA! Writing challenges, count downs, talking, movies, videos, etc. Basically whatever we can come up with to do all New Years Eve until Midnight... which will be kind of interesting because of the different time zones. :P

Anyone up to it? I could probably start as early as 7:00 PM EST if no one is coming over, maybe later. I'd probably be popping on and off if we have guests.

Maybe. We might be watching the LotR movies though.

Ooh! I might possibly be there! :D (And I'll brainstorm ideas for things to do, too.)

I'll be there! I'll be at a different time zone, but I'll be there since we are not doing anything for New Years. :D

Edit: And oh, I like the writing challenge idea!

Oh, and by the way, don't feel obligated to stay for the whole thing. I'm creating a schedule of events for us to do, so we'll be changing activities throughout the night. It's a "come in and out whenever you want to for however long you want to" type thing. :D Please either PM me ideas or post ideas here for things you want to do New Years Eve!

Aaaah, why does my time zone so often interfere! I will try to make, it even if not for long; it's going to be.....very late here then though.

Oooo! I want to do it! We aren't going anywhere for New Years Eve this year. I'd love to be part of this.

What kind of movies would we watch? :D

(I like Narnia. :D )

Actually, I just remembered that I think my brother and his girl friend are here that night. And if they are Louise might be sleeping in my room, in which case I'd have to be careful not to keep her awake. Oh well, we shall see.

I hope you can make it, Elanor!

OK, I think we've decided to start it at 7:00PM EST. It will run until about 1:00AM EST. Anyone can come in and out throughout the party. We're just there to have a good time. Don't feel tied down to stay the entire time. ;)

We have many activities, adventures, and games planned already! Those who do not wish to participate in some of the activities and such, we have an alternative: Listening to Adventures in Odyssey on the internet for smaller activities and watching The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe Disney version for the longer adventure. Otherwise, y'all can just talk if you want to be left out. ;)

How's this sounding? Emmalina Cedar, Elly, and I are working on a complete schedule for us to have guidelines on what to follow (but how many times do we actually ever stick by schedule? ;) )

I am definitely going to be there! My family always stays inside for New Year's Eve. Lets just say that it's not safe over here... :P And I think that the schedule idea is funny. I will probably stay there the whole time. :)

It sounds fun, but my family is here, so I'll only be around a litte, if at all.

I might be there. :D There's a possibility that the RV park we're staying at will have WiFi, and if so, I'll try to get on, 'cause I don't know if we're doing anything else. If I'm not there (at least for some of it) it probably means that we don't actually have WiFi.

Sounds like lots 'o fun. :D

I'll try to stop by, but I might be at a friend's house, so I'm not sure.

Anyway, thanks for organizing this, Nemo! It looks like it's going to be a ton of fun! :D

We're having a party at present with some friends, and then when our friends have gone Mike, Louise and Kathy plan to watch a film. So I think I might make it! Hopefully. I'll definitely try to bob in to say hello at least.

To kick off the award giving part of this event, I announce Captain Nemo's award! She presided over the evening of fun, so I present to her the award for:
'Amazingly Awesome Organiser of the New Year's Festivities'!
*thundrous applause for la Capitaine*
We salute you for your services. :salute:

And... Captain Nemo said she would be in later to announce everyone else's awards.

Aw man. I left after the movie quote thing. But the rest was really fun! I guess I'll never know what you mean by "fighting the plunger".

It was great having you for part of the time! Kudos for those who came only part of the time for either having a decent bed time or having better things to do. :D
