Even though there are only two members so far, I'm here to introduce myself. :)

My name is Laura, I live in the USA. I'm a Christian and I love the Lord dearly. I am a huge fantasy nut, but because of all the junk fantasy out there I'm very careful of the books I read. I also am a writer (go figure ;) ), and wish to bring Glory to God through the stories I write. I hope to have the fantasy novel I wrote (and am now editing) published someday. So I've had one story published in a Library magazine, (but it wasn't fantasy. :) )
I am currently about of the One Year Adventure Novel Student Forum where I post/critique stories. Here I hope to play around with another more "true" fantasy world I want to create.

Thank you Jay for starting this blog/forum, I hope a lot of good for The Kingdom will come out of it. :)

Welcome StoryGirl!

I am glad that there is someone else out there who finds that standards for reading material are not exempted from genres that you enjoy! Just because there are very few good Christian fantasies out there does not mean that we do not need to be careful of what we read. Anyways, I just wanted to encourage you in seeking out godly company in your very worthwhile interest. Welcome to the forum!

My family? Well, I have three brothers (24, 22, and 11,) and one sister (15). I'm right smack in the middle.
We're all jokesters (we get that from my dad,) and are completely crazy. We have one dog and one cat. Favorite family activities are boating, hiking, movie night, and playing board games.
Right now I'm the oldest "kid" home. One brother is married and expecting their first baby! The other is living in an apartment walking distance from where we live had has a steady girl-friend.
I'm happy to say that my parents are two of my best friends. (I've been told that most eighteen year olds can't say that. ) I'm so thankful for their faith in and their walk with God.

That sounds great! I am glad to say that my parents are also two of my best friends. I wish and pray that more young men and women would open their eyes to their parents: they are missing out on so much, and creating so many problems for themselves with their current attitudes.
