Hello everyone! I got this idea a while ago and I REALLY wanted to share it with you, so I made this thread! Okay, so, what this thread is about, is posting about how you see the chat. Like for example, when you are in the chat room and you close your eyes to try to picture what the "room" would look like if it were real, do you see an office? A cave? So, post how you see chat! :D

Umm...I've never thought about it. I guess a living room full of couches and chairs with all of us sitting around with a few of us having our feet on the coffee table while we visit.

Hmm. It depends. Usually I see it as a room, with maybe other rooms coming off it, and we're standing and talking unless beanbags are brought in or something. If we're RPing, of course, it turns into whatever. A submarine. An enormous cave. (Oh wait, that was through a hole in the chat floor.) So chat may mainly consist of a fireplace with a tent pitched in front of it and snow falling, or a pentagon room.

It's also got the duct-taped hole in the universe somewhere.

I always think it's just a big room that's sort of lighted in the middle, where everybody stands (or sits, according their spoken preference) and talks, and sometimes characters join in. Then the light sort of fades away towards the edges of the chat, where there are walls, and corners (for the introverts, you see ;) ).

I see chat as a big meadow that somehow sprouts corners occasionally... There's a nice beach connected to the blue ocean where my submarine awaits. There's also a building on the meadow when we want to be inside (maybe that's where the corners come from). It's just a normal empty room, yet is warm and inviting. It can have a fireplace, portals, holes, and different things. Refrigerators, kitchens, cots, fuzzy blankets and such can sprout from the floor instantaneously. :D

That's pretty much how I see it. It has some chairs in places, and the room is quite large. On one side are some fancy-looking comfortable pillows that you sit cross-legged on where I've drank tea with Jonathan before, and some where in the chat room in a treadmill from the time Dairy gave me energy pills. A smaller side room has a bed for Chat ( ;) at anyone who gets this) and front doors of the chat room are large and ornate, made of wood. Open those doors and you enter into the world of all sorts of role play adventures. That is where Nemo's submarine is, as well as a huge long skating rink where I've run away from people on, and beyond that a large forest as well as what ever other role play things. :D

And the chat room has lots of cookies and nommy things, and ice cream. :D

And there's also a big room with chandeliers with a marble room, where Riniel and I put a flood of soap-bubbles. And there's a glass-walled pool too, that goes from 1 inch to about 30 feet deep, because no-one except Caleb and I wanted to go swimming. :P

Haha! These are all very interesting! I picture my chat room as a HUGE space divided (depending on the number of people on chat) and anyone can imagine whatever they want in the space. Also, in each of the spaces, there is a huge desk where you see the posts, stories, books, etc. (I picture the posts that we read as papers.) ;) OH! And I decided that there is a naughty corner that is only black and you can't imagine anything in it. (I would probably be in it all the time...) AAAND a fighter plane in the corner of my space, which could take me to the various stations of my army. ;)

I picture chat as an empty room that has one lamp hanging from the ceiling in the exact center of the room. That leaves plenty of dark corners for the naughty or shy people to lurk in. ;) And...outside are the meadows, and glaciers, and mountains, and oceans, etc where people RP. :)

I don't visit the chat much anymore, but when I do I envision the HW members posting there as being part of an adventuring party stopping at an inn or tavern for the night. We sit at an old wooden table in a corner with huge flagons of hot cocoa or coffee and just chat near a great big fireplace. :dieshappy:

I picture the invisible people hiding under the desks. And the private chats are one person throwing a paper to the person they are talking to. :D

In the corner of the tavern Joe (The Bard) should be playing music

I know that there are character closets in chat. I'm positive.

Poking them can be...dangerous. ;)

And there's probably a long hallway with doors that you can open, and it takes you to various role-playing spots and different places. :D

And in one of the corners is a big portal that takes you to another room where someone tells you about the link at the top of chat.......

if that made any sense, you, my friend, are brilliant.

o.O No way, you too?! I pictured a big punch bowl in the middle, staffed by penguins with links floating in it :D (Strawberry-flavored links...)

Beanbags ring the punch bowl and a huge fireplace crackles at one side. At the other side are rows and rows of bookshelves, along with the obligatory dark nooks and crannies for lurkers/introverts :D

Of course, if you keep going, you end up at the abyss, which we all know about  A very narrow bridge runs across said abyss and over to the RPing stuffs, where a long hallway opens up on various doorways, like Elly said :D

That is an epic room

There's lots of portals that you step in to get to a private room where you can chat with one person. :D The rooms are decorated with tinsel and christmas trees with pretty lights at present, festive and all. :)
