I've been so busy trying to get this show on the road that I forgot to actually tell y'all about it. ![]() Free life advise: Don't ever send your unproduced scripts to your mentor in Hollywood. He'll make you produce them. Exciting news, everyone! This October, here in KC, I will be producing my first feature film. I've had several short scripts produced by other people, and sold some feature scripts on spec, but this will be my first time taking the wheel. I love being in project management, so I'm excited to see my own film start to finish. Logline: A young couple is about to marry—but he doesn't know his real name!—inspiring a whimsical road trip discovering strange locations, stranger relations, and an answer they never expected. I have the pitch for anyone who'd like to take a look. We're still "accepting applications" for all cast and crew, so if you're interested, just reply or shoot me a message! More updates to come. Right now I'm doing a lot of emailing back and forth while attempting to put the finishing touches on the script itself. |

Hi, guys! As of a few weeks ago, I've officially "quit" my day job (cut back to just finishing out my classes, which only amounts to a few hours a week), and the production has really started to snowball. It is a ton of work, and a little stressful, but so exhilarating too. If you want the minute-by-minute updates and pretty pictures, you can get them on Facebook: http://facebook.com/childthemovieofficial Or Twitter: http://twitter.com/childthemovie I'll restrict myself to posting the digest highlights here. Here's the key developments... We launched a Kickstarter! We are aiming for $5,000, which, while it's not enough to cover the entire film, will fund the wages and travel of a few key actors and crew we're flying in from LA: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/91 ... ism-romcom Even if you can't donate, sharing the link on social media is hugely helpful. I'm running a separate giveaway for everyone who shares the link; any time you share the link, you can enter your post into a drawing. You can enter up to once per day. You do NOT need to be a backer of the campaign to enter, and the prize is a copy of the DVD--which is NOT a reward you can get by backing the campaign. http://childthemovie.com/2016/08/22/win ... f-the-dvd/ And, last but extremely important, casting information is up! We are holding open auditions, so feel free to submit a video, or pass the link on to any actor friends you know. http://childthemovie.com/casting Thanks SO much for your support, guys! |

WHEW, WE MADE IT! Well, principal photography is wrapped. Now I have several months of post-production, marketing, and paperwork to do. I'll post more about the experience later... if I ever recover (aka catch up on my sleep)... but in the meantime, look at all the pretty photos! https://www.facebook.com/childthemovieofficial/ |

Very cool! I bet the weather was helpful? It's been a mild fall pretty much everywhere, I believe? |

Yes, the weather was almost exclusively favorable. We didn't get as much fall foliage as expected, but we still got some in a couple of scenes. |
