This is a dystopian series aimed at children, but I found it to be surprisingly compelling. It's set in a future where no family can have more than two children, and it follows some of the illegal third children who get together to fight against the tyrannical government. I sometimes find dystopian novels to be overly dark, but this one wasn't. Any science fiction fans will probably enjoy it. Have you read this series? I wrote a full review here: http://jonathangarner.blogspot.com/2016 ... s-who.html |

I read another book by this author, and remember her writing to be very sharp and engaging. I'd read another of her books. |

I honestly cannot remember the title, but it was a time-travelling story about a bunch of orphans that had been stolen from history and adopted into families in the modern day. The morals were a bit fishy (at least to my mind at the time--I'd want to reread it before making an adult judgement, though), but the writing and twists were amazing. It was the first in a series. Pretty sure it had an airplane on the cover. (I read it YEARS ago, can you tell?) |

I know the series you're talking about, though I haven't read it. I can't remember its name. It would be interesting to find out what you thought of it now. |
