I have heard so many mixed reviews for the new movie God is Not Dead. Now they're bringing a second movie out, and some of my friends seem excited about it, and some are absolutely horrified. I think because I've heard so many bad reviews, I've not really been up for watching it. Have any of you guys seen it? I saw some of you advertising it on FB before it came out, but I don't know what you thought of it when it was released. Thoughts? Reviews? I'd love to hear them!

That was a good movie, if I remember right. I didn't know there was going to be a second one.

It had some good going for it, and I enjoyed it the first time I watched it, but having seen further reviews since, I've noticed obvious holes and flaws in the premise and the way it is marketed, so I'm not such a Wholehearted supporter of it as I once was. However I think it is worth a watch, if you consider it is a highly improbable premise.

I didn't enjoy it for the plot holes, the predictable characters who didn't have good sense, and the overall stereo typicalness of them... I understand what the writers were trying to do - and it's good to make Christian movies, in theory - , but for me, I didn't feel the movie was a good representation of faith, writing, or film... If we're going to write and film - we should do it /well/.

;) On the other hand - I know people who absolutely loved it. This may be partly the writer in me being picky. To each their own. ;)
