Post subject:  Beau Geste (Films)

So on the recommendation of characters from Gilligan's Island, I watched Beau Geste (1939) when we found it at the library this week. It is based off a book that was written in the twenties, and is the story of three brothers who join the French Foreign Legion. The characters were very engaging, I thought the acting was good, and the mysteries of the plot are very compelling. With how it began (some of it being a very old film, where one has to adjust to the style), I wasn't sure I was going to be impressed, but then there was a mystery and it was instantly intriguing.

Anyhow, I need to read the book, and see the other three versions from the twenties, sixties, and eighties... Then there are sequels to the books, but that's another thread.

Has anyone else seen Beau Geste?
