This program is a wonderful study for historical fiction writers, and fantasy writers who want to study the cultures of various time periods.
Time Crashers is a British "reality" show in which a number of celebrities are sent to different time periods throughout British history, and must learn to adapt and survive as various members of the local class system. Thus far, they have traveled to the Georgian, Elizabethan, Tudor, and Edwardian periods, and have only moved among various classes of servant. This aspect is particularly helpful in that I can better fine tune the culture of a castle or manor beyond the owners and guests. In the end, those who perform well are rewarded as they would have been in the era, and those who perform poorly at punished accordingly. I imagine they are somewhat easy on them all the same, rather than being fully realistic, but it is a fascinating researching tool.
