I thought that since this spin-off almost derailed its sister show's thread, maybe it should get its own. ;)

So, how many of you all tuned in to the premiere of DC's newest hero addition to television? I got in late, but managed to watch most of the premiere and I was interested. Unfortunately, like Arrow, Flash is on at a bad time for me, so I prolly won't end up seeing a lot of episodes (since all of my Internet watching time is dedicated to Agents of Shield. XD ) until they come out on DVD. :P

Still,

Am I the only one who immediately didn't like Harrison Wells [played by Tom Cavanagh? I've never been much into DC heroes, so I've not read the comics and don't know about the canon characters and who's who, but I instantly saw this guy as turning into something more villainous.

I must admit, I like the more 'procedural' turn this show takes. Again, I don't know much about the Flash classically *looks around for the DC geeks to pounce*, but I like this angle of Grant doing work for the police, and I like the detective characters.

I was personally happy to see Danielle Panabaker, since I absolutely adore the movie "Sky High", but that's beside the point. Oh, and my little brother would like me to point out that Cisco is funny. XD

Me! Me!

Where do I begin? I like the fact that he doesn't begin the way arrow does. Also his father-son relationship to Joe West.

Did you know, there's speculation that Harrison Wells, or Edie (Iris's boyfriend), might be Reverse Flash? One of the enemies of Flash. Who actually wears yellow. *hint hint*

And, speculation says that there were two colors when Nora?? died, one yellow one red. And that it was red that whisked your Barry away from his house. Thus time travel (which Flash can really do.

Two more things who watch the last two.

Based on the comics, Cisco and Caitlin are really superheroes. Cisco controls vibration and soundwaves, while Caitlin is some kind of DC Frost.

And that Caitlin's fiance is a meta-human (my own speculation). Since he already is Firestorm in the comics (and will be played by Robbie Amnell in the series).

I've been tuning in for the series. Shield was an easy thing to give up since this is more up my alley. So far, I'm enjoying the series and the development of the characters. Defintely hoping they will use the show to introduce more heroes of the DCU like Arrow.

XD I know not everybody likes everything but...but trading Marvel for DC? That should be a crime. ;) *scampers away before geek attack can commence*

Well, I personally enjoy S.H.I.E.L.D., but that's all I'll say without going too far off-topic.

I will read spoiler-tagged stuff and post my own thoughts on the pilot after I watch it, but I am recording and will watch all 13 episodes of this show. Hopefully, it gets renewed. (At least, that's how I feel before I see it, but I somehow doubt my feelings on the show will change after I see it...if that made any sense at all...)

*laughs* Trust me, if it was anything else, DC would be the one to go, not Marvel. But Shield was never a favorite of mine, and turning it into a TV series just wasn't a good idea. With Flash, I get to see a superhero I like in action. But believe me, I'm Marvel all the way. ;)

I don't have any time to watch another TV series at the moment, but I really can't get into Shield, so maybe I would enjoy this instead as well. :)

You should try at least a couple episodes. A really good one I'd recommend is the crossover with Arrow.
