Any of you guys seen the TV show, Grimm? It's something I discovered recently and I love it. Definitely one of my favourite fantasy shows. I love the characters, and the uniqueness of the show! Out of interest who it your favourite character? What do you like the most about the show? |

AH! Someone else who likes it. I'm a big fan of Grimm. That said, I'm an open-eyed fan. The show has problems-- but far fewer than most if not all other primetime shows. And the fact that the main characters are, for the most part, upstanding Humans (or Wesen) cannot be overlooked. That said, there's quite a bit of violence and some incredibly disturbing images (if you haven't seen "Tarantella" [S01E11] yet, Steph, it's probably the most disturbing of the murder cases to date). The MCs are a pair of detectives in the Portland PD, so most of the episodes, at least for the first season, revolve around a murder or set of murders. And being cops, we get some language, though nothing too heinously vulgar. The central conceit, though, begs a number of philosophical questions, among them "What makes us human?" "What is the value of the due process of law?" "When do [certain activities] stop being an extension of the job and edge into vigilantism?" "Are interracial relationships/friendships possible to maintain?" And for the most part, the show does a good job of exploring those questions without becoming didactic about them. And a fanboy aside: Monroe and Rosalie are, hands down, the cutest couple on TV. With Fitz and Simmons from SHIELD coming in a close second. |

I did watch Grimm, which, ironically, was the second show that I planned to watch that my sister did too (The other one being Merlin, which also aired originally in the U.S. on NBC) Anyway, we watched the pilot, and most of season 1, stopping altogether around the last few episodes, but we watched the season 1 finale. After watching the season 1 finale, we started watching season 2 (Which we are still in the middle of, on our DVR), and I think we're past the halfway point in the season. Due to my family's conflicting schedules and TV program interests, we dropped a lot of shows in the 2012-2013 season, and I'm still not sure if Grimm was one of them, because I haven't been recording season 3, and I know that the season 2 finale is a cliffhanger... So, anyway, I have watched some episodes, but probably won't regularly. Which is sad, because I really liked it. Anyway! Enough of that. |

It's one show that I haven't missed an episode of, and that says a lot. I couldn't stay connected with the Agents of Shield characters, but I love a lot of the characters in Grimm. Yes, Tarantella was particularly gruesome, but I think overall the show is quite dark. I definitely agree with you on Monroe and Rosalie. Monroe is probably my favourite character on Grimm. It's a shame that you couldn't keep watching it, Balec, but I can understand. There are so many good shows out there, but one can't keep up with them all! I'm looking forward to season four, though! The end of season 3 was a cliff hanger as well, so I'm intrigued to see where they are taking the next season. |

Yeah...It really is a shame, 'cause I'd heard a lot of good things about season 3, and this year, my family pretty much dropped almost all TV shows because of real life... *shrugs* Hopefully, in the near future, I'll have a chance to catch up though. (What would the world do without DVDs?) |

You definitely can't watch everything though, and DVDs are definitely handy. |
