Has anyone read this? It's a lovely story. The age group and simplicity is around 9 – 11, I'd say perhaps, but it's good enough (and funny enough) that I like it too. It's after the style of fairytales, and I enjoy the ideas that it has about how things work.

It's not explicitly Christian, but it isn't bad either, if you don't object to fairies and magic and romance (the romance is more funny than anything else :D). Magic is shown about the way that most fairytales have it, with some good magic, and some bad magic.

Yes! Do you have the extended edition? There was a whole story cut out of it the first time it was published, and it turns out that that story is actually one of my favorites. :D

I dont have problem with faires, magic well some of it I guess I could give it a try, it looks very good, reminds me a bit of artemis fowl have you heard of it?
are the faires in this book like good faries?
Yeah, I've heard of Artemis Fowl vaguely, but I've never read it, so I wouldn't be able to say how the two compare. :?

The fairies are just like regular people when it comes to that – some good, some bad, and some annoying. :D The goblins who also live in the fairyland are all bad, though.

I don't think so, but I'd have to find it again to be sure (not quite sure where it is at the moment :()

Do the faires have powers?
I am going to read it, ARtmeis Fowl is good, it does have some odd things about it, but for the most part is a great take on faries.
what is your fav thing about the book?

I was going to say yes, but then I realized that for the most part they don't, they just practice magic a whole lot more than the mortals do. Some of the mortals practice magic as well, once they've learned it. The big unchangeable (or mostly unchangeable) difference between the fairies and the mortals is just that the fairies can't die, I think.

Hm, I'll have to check that out then... I've been interested in fairies and books with fairies recently. :)

I think it's the humor I like best about it. :D It manages to be quite funny at times. I also really like the matter-of-fact way it talks about things.
