I've come across the author T.A. Barron multiple times while searching for books to read. His Merlin series look popular, and I wondering if anyone on here has experience reading his series and if they are any good. Any thoughts?

I read them a while back, and I really liked them. The ending was bittersweet and painful, though, but I liked it a lot.
