Has anyone here ever read anything by Ray Bradbury?
He recently died, and so I got interested in him.
I have Fahrenheit 451 and the martian chronicles. Does anyone know if these books are any good?

Yes.

I have read 451 and it is very good.

I have not yet read The Martian Chronicles but I do know it is a collection of short stories that tie together. I think he wrote them for a magazine.

I also have The Illustrated Man and Dandelion Wine on my to read list and on my shelf.

Fahrenheit 451 should be required reading for everyone. It's the classic distopian story about a society that burns books instead of reading them, not by government mandate, but because they gave them up freely.

A masterpiece.

I just finished The martian chronicles, I liked it fairly well. It was like a whole book of twilight zone episodes.

(I'm starting Fahrenheit 451 now.)

Hmm, no I haven't read any of his books. :)

Yep, but even more so since my current project is a dystopian Sci-Fi novel.

I've read Farenheit 451 and thought it was awesome. Very well written - a magnificent accomplishment. I have had the Martian Chronicles for awhile, but haven't read it yet.
