Has anyone else read this book?
I just read it the other day and was very pleasantly surprised. Its written by Eoin Colfer (author of Artemis Fowl)
I was very leery at first, as I have read Artemis Fowl and found it quite stupid and vulgar, but Airman is much better, with a good story and a good MC. (plus its a light steampunk and a Ruritanian!)
Over all the book is really good, it's humorous, but not overly so (personally, I thought it could have been a bit more humorous since it gets pretty dark at some points).
Plus there is small amount of vulgar humour, but nothing that really got on my nerves.

I read this book a long time ago, but because I rather liked Artemis Fowl. That was years ago though, I doubt I'd still like it now. ANYWAY, from what I remember, it was about a criminal trying to escape a jail on an island? :P Thwack me if I'm wrong.

The MC was sent to a prison island but he was not a criminal. He was sent there by the Antagonist to keep him out of the way.

The book is actually quite good (even though it's for a younger audience.)

Ah, okay. Yeah, I remember liking it, but can't remember much more. 'Twas many moons ago.

Airman! *gasps* I love this book! (So, it's completely the story of the Count of Monte Cristo, it's still awesome!)
