Ok, I'm not sure where this goes, so please bear with me. Anyway, this thread is for anything Warriors! What is Warriors, you ask? *le gasp* Warriors is a 4-series [so far!] book series by Erin Hunter [who's actually 4 people!]. Each series contains 6 books, and each series have different plotlines. In general, the Warriors books are about the four Warrior cat Clans - ThunderClan, WindClan, RiverClan, and ShadowClan. The books usually revolve around a cat in ThunderClan, with a few Super Editions [Crookedstar's Promise and SkyClan's Destiny] as exceptions. ~Randomness: My favorite cat is Jayfeather. LIST OF BOOKS IN CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER: Bluestar's Prophecy [Super Edition] Crookedstar's Promise [Super Edition] WARRIORS: THE ORIGINAL SERIES #1: Into the Wild #2: Fire and Ice #3: Forest of Secrets #4: Rising Storm #5: A Dangerous Path #6: The Darkest Hour Firestar's Quest [Super Edition] SkyClan's Destiny [Super Edition] WARRIORS: THE NEW PROPHECY #1: Midnight #2: Moonrise #3: Dawn #4: Starlight #5: Twilight #6: Sunset WARRIORS: THE POWER OF THREE #1: The Sight #2: Dark River #3: Outcast #4: Eclipse #5: Long Shadows #6: Sunrise WARRIORS: OMEN OF THE STARS #1: The Fourth Apprentice #2: Night Whispers #3: Fading Echoes #4: Sign of the Moon #5: The Forgotten Warrior (Releas date: Nov. 25th 2011) #6: The Last Hope (Release date: 2012 sometime) And there's rumors of a fifth series. |

I read many of those books before my parents read the back and told me I wasn't allowed to anymore. The characters are awesome, the story is well thought through, and there is lots of suspense. BUT. The Star clan is ancestor worship. It is less in the first few books, but progresses throughout. The fact that there are prophecies, and that the Star clan leads them, is problematic. |

I enjoyed the few that I read, I think I read the original and 4th series? Anyway they were good but I got confused as to which one was next. Gotta go play Black Ops now! |

The most in the first series us a random prophecy now and then. The fourth series, however, is getting really hard for me to read. It's basically about a foretold battle between the Dark Forest and StarClan. Anyway, the Tribe was cool, but I don't like how heavy their belief in the Tribe of Endless Hunting. They believe in their ancestors and worship them even more then the Clan cats. In my fan fic, I'm trying to avoid putting lots of StarClan interaction in it. Now, if it's Warriors, it's almost impossible not to put any in, unfortunatly. |

On the subject of the Warrior Cats books, I have to agree with Mirza 100 percent. I used to read them but now stopped because of the Star Clan issue. I think that if Erin Hunter had left them at the first series, they would still be books that I know and love today. I think they get worse and worse as it goes on. I don't agree with the ancestor worship in the Warriors books. Unfortunately, I came to that conclusion after I had already been obsessed with them for over a year, and own quite a few. Which sit in my closet getting dusty. To sum it up, I don't like the Warriors Books anymore because of the ancestor worship. |

Hee hee. Kironi got me to read the Warriors books (well, some of them), and my opinion is about the same. There's a lot of StarClan stuff in there that really just...ruins things. I've only read the first series and the super editions, but from what Kironi's told me of the later three series' they just get worse. I think the reason for that may be that it's a four person writing team - I think the first Erin Hunter (the "original," sort of) wrote only the first series, and the later books were written by other people. *shrugs* I don't know that though. But that just means we must write Warriors fanfics and re-awesome-ify the world! Right? eru |

No, I have never read them, but I have heard of them because another place where I mod, well, the people there like to role play 'Warriors' all the time. |

I read the first - um, two or three, and then my parents wanted me to stop reading them. I was really into cats then (weird, I know), which is one reason I enjoyed them so much. But, my parents encouraged me to stop reading them since it had so much astrology type stuff in it. |

I've seen these around I just didn't read them because I don't think I could get into the whole cat thing. |

I was also a huge fan of these for the longest time. I've read them all up to the most recent one as well as thier other series Seekers. Besides the whole star clan part I love them. |
