Yes, I'm going there!

Have any of you guys read Stephanie Meyer's Twilight series?

It's a book I've always said I would probably never read, but when I was on holiday I saw the series and picked it up to read.

I really enjoyed them. They are very light reading I would say, and as I was very relaxed that was enjoyable.

Personally though, what stood out to me was her character development. I loved her characters. They were all so different, but they became so real to me - if that makes sense? I really felt that I got to know them really well individually, even though the writing wasn't necessarily really descriptive or deep. It's a while since I've read a book and felt that way - but maybe it was just me! Has anyone else read them and found that to be the case?

I'm a old school Vampire man myself so this series grates on my nerves. Plus they really seem like they are aimed at girls so I think i'll pass.

I definitely wouldn't recommend them to guys - I think they're very 'girly' books, personally.
