As I said, I'm not going to argue about it. :D

I'm so glad that even if HWers have a difference in opinion, we can still all be congenial to each other :)

Star Wars: The Clone Wars has been cancelled, after 5 seasons and 108 episodes. I personally have not seen much of Season 5 - just the first few episodes, though I have the rest recorded.

Read about it here: http://www.comingsoon.net/news/tvnews.php?id=101412

Good grief - I hope this doesn't meanm they're going to do Old Republic or the "Cade Skywalker" thing? I have almost completely lost any hope for anything good coming out of the Star Wars Universe.

"Like" factor on Star Wars: The Clone Wars series: 5/6 of 10
Expectations for new SW Animated series: 2 out of 10
Expectations for Episode VII: 6 of 10

Such low reviews?

I've heard the animated series is near brilliant, and much, much better than the Prequels even.

I've read a few of the Legacy comics, and they were really good. So were the Knights of the Old Republic ones I read too.

Perhaps...If they weren't destroying EU while they were at it. I mean, I suppose that EU is, as I think Airianna said, fanfiction, but still - I like the EU. I like their events much more than Clone Wars.

Don't get me wrong - I think Clone Wars is fine. Excellent graphics, sometimes good storylines, but in the process, they sometimes disrupt EU events - and even Clone Wars comics - such as killing Adi Gallia, bringing back Maul, doing the Mandolorians, and killing "all" of the Nightsisters.

I can't say much on that, I have not read the Legacy comics nor any of Old Republic. Right now, I can't think of a problem I have with Old Republic - I do with Legacy. They blatantly go ahead, establish history which basically means that everyone who reads NJO, Legacy of the Force, and Fate of the Jedi will keep saying things like "Jag has to live" and "He has to get together with Jaina" and stuff like that.

Look at Star Trek: The Next Generation. I don't think they made much references to the original TOS crew and how they perished - because until 1991, 4 years after TNG premiered - they were still making TOS movies. Of course, even after that, they still didn't talk much about them until the first TNG movie came out...

The EU is probably getting torn down anyways. Maybe it's just part of a major rewrite of history. :P Which does make me sick, but oh well.

That is a good point about writing stories in the history from the perspective of the future.

I look forward to seeing how it all ends. :) The Clone Wars has been fun.

I'm surprised how inactive this thread's been, especially with what's happened in the last year.

Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens comes out this December. :dieshappy:

I just hope Disney doesn't destroy Star Wars. Especially since they are not going by the books.

I could post a huge, long post about EU and the Star Wars reboot, but I won't...yet. :)

I just hope that it feels like "Star Wars", which could be hard considering how much movies/films have changed since the last Star Wars film. Re-capturing the feel and style of the last six movies could be impossible.

It does look really good, though.

Unfortunately, everything in the second trailer to me, felt like a fan film trailer, except for the special effects shots. I know in my head that it's not, but it just felt like I was watching a trailer for a fan-made film. *shrugs*

I'll reserve judgment until I see it, at which point I'll be treating it like a lot of other movies - hoping to like it, trying to like it, but with a deep sense of worry that I won't like it.

I'm glad they're ditching the books honestly. All of them that I read were mediocre at best and generally fairly boring.

As for feeling like Star Wars, I think they have that down. The mix of CGI and practical effects is what will make or break that one, and they seem to be doing a good job.

I heard they are considering doing a Boba Fett movie. Does anyone know if this is truth or rumor???? I think that would be amazing! So many questions could be answered!
