Please excuse my newness, but I ended up in the Watchtower hoping to begin a discussion with Lady Sparks about old Star Trek books, but there's no place to discuss regular published books here?

Is it okay to post that topic here? Or do I need to ask for a Watchtower thread for published books to be created?

I'm guessing it can be in the main watchtower section instead of a subsection under it? (All these sections get confusing!)

And I might be wrong but I believe we can always just chat wherever seems appropriate and the powers that be can always move the thread if they think it fits better elsewhere.

Nope, you were on track--the main subsection of the Watchtower forum is for all published books. The two subsections (TV & Film, and Anime, Manga, & Comics) are just for specific types of media, to keep it organized.

There aren't any topics in the main section right now, but you'll still see the "new topic" button at the bottom. Just click on "Watchtower" and "new topic" and chat away!
