Please tell me I'm not the only HWer who has seen and loved this film, or read and loved the book. *grins*

I, personally, love it. It was a favourite film of mine as a kid. Me and my brother designed our own little adventure from it. We would roam the fores tin our backyard, the new rulers of Terabithia. We were on a quest to find Jess and Leslie, who we believed were captured by the Dark Master. We spent years searching for them and fighting off Squogres with pinecones. Shortly after watching Eragon, the Ra'Zac were added into the world as well.

But it was beautiful and one of the best memories I have of my childhood with him. I wish I could go on those adventures again; but sadly, he grew up while I stayed a child. *half-grin* At least, at heart.

So basically, has anyone else here seen or read Bridge To Terabithia?

I believe I have watched it and I started reading it. I didn't finish because of all the swear words in the book.

Ah, yeah. I can see how that would pose a problem for some people.

I have heard so much about these, book and film, but I haven't read it yet, sadly. I have a very large reading list and unfortunately these days I do not have much time to read. But on the list it will go. :)

This book is a betrayal beyond the scope of all words that can written. Children do not die in children's books. Except this one. This book completely set my world off-kilter when I was seven, and I have never recovered. Nor will readers of any of my future books. They'll know my pain.

It's a good book, actually. Never saw the movie.

I really enjoy Katherine Patterson, but I have to admit, I'm not a fan of Bridge to Terabithia. I love about the first half and then it got all depressing XD

But. *clears throat* I confess I only watched the movie, and I was disappointed so I never actually read the book. Maybe I should. ;)

Edited because I put the wrong author's name. XD

This was one of my favorite books/films! Not only because it was based on real events but the way they tied in the bits of imagination and friendships was awesome!

Granted it is a sad story but as a writer it almost felt like reality somehow. :)

(Oh the movie also had two of my favorite actors in it so I might be a tad bit biased. ;) )

I had not realized it was based on real events.
