Hmmm.... forgot to post here.

The Sign of Three is my favorite episode of the whole of SH.

Did you guys hear about the special Sherlock episode midway of the hiatus?

Well. Now I really wish I had found this earlier. And....I've got a feeling this will be a long post. Again. What's new?

I simply love Sherlock!!!!!!!!!!!!! I first heard of it in 2012, when I was introduced to British telly through Doctor Who. I hated it. I mean - seriously?!?!? You're going to make a series about a Holmes and Watson in modern day? Yeah, that's just not going to turn out well. Of course, hearing about Elementary later did nothing to improve my opinion.

And then I watched The Hobbit: The Unexpected Journey. And, of course, a search over the actors led me back to wikipedia and (due to a friend's suggestion repeatedly and knowing Freeman played Watson) I finally gave it a shot.

And then absolutely loved it.

Moffat and Gatiss are absolute geniuses (or is that genii...) - especially as Mycroft. They did a great - surprisingly so - job of upgrading the characters and the actors do a marvelous job. None of the quirks were deleted and everything fit wonderfully. Irene is still annoying and that episode needs some scenes deleted - but Moriarty.... he is probably the BEST version!!!!!!! And the end of series three...!!!!!!!!!!!

And this was indubiably the BEST version of Mary yet. I've never liked her because she always marries Watson (granted, in the books she dies by the time he comes bakc and is barely there) - but I loved Amanda's version. And did anyone else think the familial relations in Series 3 was so surprising and hilarious at the same time?

Storyteller says that they plan to start filming Series four next year.... I think that's the worst thing about some British shows (because i haven't come across the elsewhere): the outrageously INSANE haituses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Does it seriously take that long to film three episodes? Really?

Make them all fourty-five minutes and make them two-parters....

Hiatus Help Groups? Those might be helpful...

The best thing for it (I find) is either rewatch episodes, read the cases, or go watch something else. There is this other British show that has sane, short breaks (Well, when they aren't canceled....) and is actually by the same writer too. It helps to pass the time. When it's on, of course.

I am so excited for the Sherlock Christmas Special; it looks promising! Can't wait for the next season. :)
