YES, I laughed so hard. The hammer twitches and he's like  and then it doesn't move anymore and Thor just goes "Oh, good." XD

I went to see it with my sister on the opening night here. It was darker than the first one, I thought, but it was really good. There were a couple of things in it that I really didn't like, but overall it was another brilliant Marvel film. :)

Read a couple of reviews that said it was just as good - if not, better - than Captain America: The Winter Soldier (Which I loved)

I AM DEAD. I AM SO HAPPY. I CANNOT CONTAIN MY FANGIRLING OKAY.

I must admit, wrong or not, I laughed so hard over the continued "language" joke, because it's so perfect for these characters.

And I'm not really sure what to think of Natasha/Bruce because honestly, I have shipped "Clintasha" for so terribly long, but now I feel guilty about that. o.O I was watching this movie and I was getting a little irritated and going "No. Nononononono" and then...and then CLINT'S FAMILY OKAY KSJDHFLASKJBGLAFJGB HAPPY PEOPLE IN HAPPY LAND AND I LOVE THIS SO MUCH AND HAWKEYE WAS BASICALLY BEAUTIFUL THE WHOLE FILM AND MY FAVORITE PART AND HE ACTUALLY HAD GOOD REASON TO BE MY FAVORITE THIS TIME AND HELP ME I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH THIS.

I liked that, even though it was because of Scarlet Witch's influence, they did go into Tony's PTSD a little. So many fans are already uptight about this. *rolls eyes* And it was very subtle, but it was there, and I like that a lot.

Was that the same SHIELD agent as from The Winter Soldier who refused to listen to Hydra? ^_^

AND I HAVE SO MUCH MORE TO SAY BUT MY BRAIN HAS FIZZLED SO I'M DONE.

OH. Wait. Vision. Vision, everybody. Vision and Thor's hammer. I love this. I'm done.

No words, I still have none even after several days. But Caeli.... Yes it was the agent who didn't activate the helicarriers. =)

Blayne, I know how you feel. *nodnod*

ALSO PIETRO OKAY

AND FLIPPING 'NATHANIEL PIETRO' THESE PEOPLE ARE MY FAVORITES

And all the headcanons and fan fictions that are already popping up everywhere. My favorite two being:

1: the Black Widow movie needs flashbacks to when Hawkeye saved her and he took her to Laura because Laura is a mother and knows everything, like how to take care of people who really need it and Hawkeye of all people knows this, and basically Nat and Laura hid out and bonded while Clint convinced SHIELD she was okay--and this is about half the reason Natasha wants a family, because of Laura.

2. I don't think we get names for the older Barton children and headcanon says the boy is named Cole, because can you just see Clint introducing his kiddos and he says "This is Cole" and everyone just kind of tilts their heads because the baby is 'Nathaniel Pietro' and Clint shrugs one shoulder and says "Laura didn't really care for the name Phil" and so Tony Stark always calls the kid "Agent" and this is so perfect help me please.

Hmm. Good movie, needed some more editing. CA:TWS was better.

I was appalled at Natasha's characterization and role in the story. She's the best spy and assassin in the world and she can't get out of a medieval cell? Really? And does almost nothing except be the unrequited love interest? Again, really? Not to mention the whole romance was so out of left field, unestablished, and overall felt forced.

Then her whole line about "not being the only monster" was badly thought on a level I don't think I've seen before. Banner just lost control in a massive city and probably killed civilians somewhere so of course he feels like a monster and Natasha says she's a monster too because she can't have kids. The two are nowhere near the same level and there's nothing monstrous about not being able to have kids. Not to mention it doesn't really make sense for that to be an assassin's "graduation ceremony". Part of the process, sure, but like, an actual assassination would make so much more sense.

The new Coulson, perhaps? ;) In terms of recurring S.H.I.E.L.D. agents?

Wait, we're talking about the guy who was doing the lifeboats, right?

I did enjoy the movie a lot - the humor was on point, the action choreography (ACKKKK I want the DVD/Blu-Ray NOW just to re-watch those scenes), and I liked the story a lot.

I can see why lots of reviews placed it as worse than Captain America: The Winter Soldier and even the first Avengers movie, though. Some of it could have benefited from better editing. There was over an hour of deleted material, though, so.... *shrugs*

I'm pretty sure this was Joss Whedon's "Hey, this is the last one I'm doing so guess what I'm doing it the way I want and the rest of the world can deal with it because I'm having fun, thank you." XD

And, frankly I adored it, and it's a movie about comic book characters and thusly I do not feel an overwhelming sense of obligation to judge it based on fundamental plot points, or seamless story crafting. Maybe that's hypocritical of the writer in me to do, but there it is. It's not the new The King's Speech or 20 Years a Slave, it's The Avengers. And it's a blast. And I will never not love this movie. ;)

I was a bit irked by the lack of real storytelling. Movies in general are heading down that path, and I don't like it. Also: CGI. >_> Come on, guys, at least try to make it look real.

For once, I actually managed to see a movie early. I have to admit, I was a little disappointed with Age of Ultron. The story did not seem as cohesive as the first. There were a lot of good ideas, but it was like Whedon couldn't flesh them out fully. Still, it was a decent film, so I'll be grabbing it once it's out on DVD.
