This film... wow... looks amazing! It borrows the land of Oz from 'The Wizard of Oz,' and I believe some of the characters as well. Not sure which ones though. But....it looks fantabulous.

This is a pre-Dorothy Oz story based on Frank Baum's "The great and powerful Oz."

So what do you think of it? Let me know if you have other info! (:

EDIT: Apparently it will only be in UK cinemas... ]: Or so rumour has it!

There isn't really enough in the trailer for me to really tell what it will be like. But I like Raimi, Franco, and Oz so I'm definitely intrigued.

It's produced by Disney was filmed in California and has a budget of 200,000,000 so I doubt very much that it will only release in the UK.

Also it says on IMDB that it will release on March 8 2013.

I took Rachel to see this. :) We had an evening out together, and went to the cinema after dinner. It was good, we both enjoyed it, but we both felt there could have been more to it. It was enjoyable, just I felt it was lacking somehow. We both felt that, it's just hard to put your finger on exactly what. Has anyone else seen it yet? I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts.

They definitely left it open for a sequel, I think.

I had heard about it before, and I think it looks pretty cool. But, as I'm broke, I must wait for it to come out in my library... unless my aunt gets it off Netflix for me.

*tries not to gag over her frustration with this film *

Well, I have a movie review which should be up in a couple of days. I'll post a link. :D I was not happy, though, to say the least...

I'll be interested to read it, Airi! :D Rachel and I couldn't exactly put our finger on what we weren't happy with. We just knew there was something lacking, we were kind of like, is that it? But it was hard to put into words what we didn't like about it. :)

I bet our thoughts were similar on it, Elanor. I left with a similar feeling.
