Mmmm yes! I really liked that one, even though I wasn't all that impressed with the mysticism. I had some trouble understanding some of the politics behind the plot, but I suppose that's just my own incompetency :P. Still, I really enjoyed it.
Sort of off topic, but once I read a review that called him half Irish/half Indian, and said that it was his father who insisted on his Catholic schooling... Had they even read the book?
And have you ever read any of Rudyard Kipling's short stories? I liked "Wee Willie Winkie".

I really like these books:
Sisters in Time series
Viking Quest series
the Wall series by Robert Elmer(in Germany during WWII)
Orphan Train Adventures
Orphan Train Children(both series' are written by the same author I think)
Mandie mysteries
Other books by Robert Elmer(he writes historical fiction where not many have written about, in Germany).
I also liked Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte(although it is sad... was written same time period as Jane Austen wrote her books)
And American Girl books are classics(even though they're short children's books)

I've read those! I pretty sure I've gone through all the Sisters in Time books at lest twice. :D As for the Mandie books, I've read all 40 and between my sister and I we own about ten. :D

And so far no one has mentioned one of my favorites, Journey to the River Sea bye Eva Ibbotston, I think. I love that book! So well written and with such a good story! :D The Dragonfly Pool by the same author is good to, but Journey to the River Sea is best. :D

I think I read 35 of the 40 Mandie Books. They made more when I was getting older and I never have finished them.

Be careful of your thoughts; guard your mind, for your thoughts become words. Be guarded when you speak, for your words turn into action. Watch what you do, for your actions will become habits. Be wary of your habits, for they become your character. Pray over your character; strive to mold it to the image of Christ, because your character will shape your destiny.

Ideas can germinate from the smallest seeds. Collect those seeds, and let them grow in the back of your mind. You may be surprised by what finally blooms.

Loyal Hearts and True was a book I enjoyed, set in Elizabethan times. :)

I don't think so, Cassie. What are some titles to her books?

She's got HEAPS...

A triology of hers I've got:

The Lantern Bearers
The Eagle of the Ninth
The Silver Branch

And then I've read her 'The King Arthur Trilogy' which, for me, is the best ever rendition of the myth. :D

I haven't read any of her other books.

I've read some of Sutcliffe's works. They were good.

There's one on the tip of my tongue that I've forgotten the author and title to, but it was in Celtic, ancient times, and had the word blood in the title.

Mr. Bowditch had a hard life, which is why the book is sad.
