Weekly challenge: Write a minimum 500 word short story to go with this picture.

I have noticed that participation has decreased dramatically lately. Is everyone busy, are the quests boring, or is there something else preventing you from participating?

As always...

The Rules wrote:
1. All challenges must be declared completed by midnight Saturday in your timezone (please specify your timezone when you sign up).
2. All challenges (personal or weekly) must be declared by midnight Monday in your timezone.
3. Personal challenges cannot be repeated.
4. The organizer reserves the right to veto any challenges that seem too simple. (i.e. writing a sentence)

If this is your first time on one of these quests, you'll need to see the initiation pamphlet.

Also, I would like to remind everyone that any weekly challenge pieces that are posted on the forum will be eligible to be featured in our newsletter. Please post a link in this thread if you would like it to be considered.

If you could write your sign-up post in a similar format to the following, it would be appreciated:
Goal: weekly challenge (or whatever you decide to do)
Timezone: PDT

Slay that dragon!

I have stopped participating because sadly, writing is not a part of my life right now. I have been consumed by the dragon and school and life. :P I would love to participate again one day.

I have been dramatically restricted on time for things like this recently (and probably will continue to be through November and perhaps December). So that's why I've been skipping out. :P I wish I could do them, though....

Urgh! The only thing I don't like about vacations is that HW seems to be completely forgotten. Thus, I didn't report my finished goal last week and didn't even think about this one until this morning. :/

Both goals done. :)

Question, in the upcoming NaNo, is it fine to have a goal to write (ex. Write 8,500 words this week) the same goals each week?

That will be fine, Blayne. I will also have special additional NaNo goals for you to attempt if you are interested.

I'm sorry, The Weaver. I totally meant to respond to this, but finals week drove it from my mind. You do not have to sign up for anything beyond posting your goals.
